A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away, Eric "Badspot" Hartman casually experimented with the idea of making a lego-oriented game with the Torque Engine. You place lego bricks in a voxel world, drive brick cars, shoot weapons, destroy bricks with hammers, ski down slopes, etc... The kinds of things most kids like to imagine doing with legos.

Today, the game has reached new heights compared to its early years. The creative side of Blockland has gone to new extremes with their endeavors. When you first enter the game, you might be disoriented at first. There is no direction; you just place and edit bricks, among other things. But stick around and explore, and the rewards will be greater every time. Build a house or other structure of your choice. Then build another; then another, and another. Improve your technique, and watch your skills improve as your builds become more elaborate and more detailed, realistic, and higher quality.

Make the bricks do things with the Wrench Event system, whereupon you might begin crafting brick-event computers and contraptions, sci fi setups, RP games, and countless other possibilities yet to be explored...

Explore online servers and see what the other players are doing; of all the things you might find, locally famous examples include: A 1:1 scale exact detail replica of the RMS Titanic, giant six-story spaceships, high-detailed yachts, realistic houses both vintage and modernesque, science labs, roleplay worlds, giant dragonflies, arenas, etc... you'll find many visual examples of Blockland creations through this link: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=247866.0, the Blockland trailor, and of course on online servers.

The game's add-on system is among the most prominent features of the game. You might consider searching out and downloading custom bricks, vehicles, tools, gamemodes, events, etc as well to enhance your potential. Most add-ons may be found in the Add-ons section of the Blockland forums.

In all, this game will be well worth the money if you stick around and explore the possibilities. The game's path is yours.

PS: Before you step in, beware: The Blockland community is, in general, exceptionally... er... badly influenced. There are nice people out there, but it is advised that you use your own judgement to find them, and beware that dwelling too long in the general sea of the Blockland Forum and many Blockland internet servers, your sanity may be at risk. I urge you not to let this effect your impression of the game itself.
