At first this game looks like a pretty standard roguelike: high difficulty, random items and weapons (in the form of wands), and a straightforward path through to the end. It's been touted for it's "every pixel simulated"/fallin-sand-game-style physics and interactions, which alone would make it a very unique and amazing game, but this game goes so much more in depth, scratching some gaming itches I didn't even know I had before this.

The magic/wand system is one of the most enjoyable things I've interacted with in a game. I've spent 30+ minutes crafting a wand to do something wild that I can take into the increasingly difficult levels. Half the time, it does exactly what I imagined it would and I feel great blasting away at enemies with a weapon of my own creation, and the other half of the time it explodes in my face or slices me to bits, but in either case I can immediately jump back in and look forward to putting together a new wand with the random spells I find along the way.

This game can definitely get frustrating, but even the times I've force quit the game after getting killed by something I couldn't see coming, I usually end up starting it up again within 5 minutes because there's really not anything else like it. Plus, without going into real spoiler territory, there's more to this game than the obvious path that absolutely takes this game to an almost transcendent level for me.

11/10 would get transformed into a sheep and get killed by my own homing spell again.

A very fun open world game with a great atmosphere.

Having played this game since pre-release, it's become a great game that you can sink tons of time into.
