Imagine a MMO type game, with crafting, house building, skill training, raiding, all the common things you do in MMOs. House building extends to building your own cities, as well. Now imagine you control all the player characers, arranged into sqauds of your own devising and you can pause at any time to consider your band's next actions. Automate them to craft, operate machines, collect resources, farm. Simultaneous do this and have a roaming band of cutthroats looking for trouble.
