Prey is a FPS/RPG/Survival hybrid that blends all three elements well for a great experience. It can be very challenging at times so it might not be the best fit for casual players but more serious game players who are interested in games like this should pick this one up. It's a shame this game didn't sell better as I would love to see a sequel to it.

This is a great metroidvania style game, similar to games like Terraria. Good graphics, controls, and tons of upgrades for you collect. A single play through will average 8-10 hours. This game is well worth the price and fans of the genre should consider picking this one up!

Roguelike platformer that requires quick reflexes to survive. Very easy to unlock all achievements and is fun way to spend time if you have only around 15-20 mins.

This is a very good arena style FPS game. It's like Halo & Portal got together and had a baby. It's free to play so if you like FPS games you owe it to yourself to at least give this a try.

A solid entry in the Doom series, Doom 2016 is a solid all-around FPS. Its worth grabbing at full price and its a must purchase if its on sale. My main complaints are that the game never struck me as being innovative (I see too many concepts taken from other games in the single player) and the multiplayer could have been better.

Final Fantasy 4: After Years is a JRPG that takes place 17 years after the completion of the original Final Fantasy 4. I’m going to heavily compare this game to its predecessor as it pulls a lot of content from that game.

Pros:

+The addition of the band ability was well implemented in this game and forces you to give some additional thought as to your party composition during the final tale.
+The lunar phases I felt were also well implemented. Each different lunar phase buffs and nerfs certain abilities for both your party and the enemies you fight. During the first 9 tales you can ignore the lunar phases but on the 10th tale some of the bosses are too powerful to engage if you fight them while their offensive abilities are buffed so this becomes an additional strategy element to consider.
+The bosses are extremely powerful in the final tale which I appreciated b/c in general I feel the bosses are too easy in most Final Fantasy games.

Cons:
- Unlike the original, this one is told via ten playable tales that all take place at the same time. From a story perspective I feel it works fine but from a game play perspective the game takes a substantial hit in quality. This game heavily recycles content from the past Final Fantasy and you will spend a good bit of time backtracking in some of the playthroughs. At certain points in the game there was so much backtracking that it was obvious the backtracking was being tacked on in order to artificially inflate the amount of time it would take for someone to finish one of the tales.
- During the first 9 tales several unnamed NPCs will join your party. I won’t spoil which ones they are and what their generic names were, but I felt it was lazy for the game designers to add party members you control that they couldn’t be bothered to name.
- Maps are now fully displayed and no longer award completion bonuses (not a huge deal but I did enjoy going out of my way to unlock each map reward in the previous game)

Conclusion: Avoid this game if you have not played the original FF4 – I would instead encourage you to pick up that one and play it first and if you enjoyed that version then you could consider buying this one. For those that already have played the original FF4 this is a lukewarm recommendation. This game has serious flaws but overall I enjoyed it enough that I was able to see it through to completion. There are however much better JRPGs out there so if you aren't a die hard Final Fantasy fan you may be able to safely pass on playing through this one.

Drakkhen is an action RPG that was first released in 1989 and to date is still one of the most innovative action RPGs I have played – no other action RPG I have played has been able to truly replicate the experience you will get while playing through this game. The game isn’t without its share of faults (enemies massively out level your party at times, there’s no overworld map, there is no way to rest and restore HP/MP so you will have to stand around passively for it to regenerate, the spells and phials in the game are only listed by symbols and not names so you’ll have no idea what they do at first) but despite its shortcomings the challenge Drakkhen presents and the satisfaction you get when you fully complete the game make it worth seeing the game through until the end.

This version of the game is a 3D remake of the original 2D JRPG for the SNES. Overall they did a good job with it and added a few features that add some additional value to the game that I don't recall being in the original (you now get rewards for 100% map completion and I noticed at least one additional sidequest that was new).

I'd recommend this primarily to people who have already beat the original FFIV and are itching to play through it again - it would be better to try this version instead. For those who have not played it yet it's still worth playing but the original gives this one a good run for its money so it might be worth playing through that one first instead.

One of the best JRPG's ever created with a brillant combat system. A must play if you like JRPGs!

This is the second game in a series where you have a 30 seconds to save the world. It's an action RPG that I found to be highly addictive.

If you liked the first you will likely like the second!
