Miasmata excels in creating a haunting atmosphere that is at once peaceful and tense. I enjoyed exploring the island and learning the unique cartography system while keeping one ear out for the quickening heartbeat that signalled the creature's presence. The paranoia of the creature's sudden and inevitable appearance kept me moving from save point to save point obsessively for fear I'd lose any progress I'd made in acquiring plant samples or additions to my map. Overall Miasmata is an interesting mystery to solve with unforgiving physics (don't try to slide down the side of a cliff for a shortcut!) set against a beautiful yet dangerous backdrop.
