Charlie (my 1 year old pup) broke her foot in June, then re-broke it (worse than before) on Sept. 11th requiring reconstructive surgery to save it and restore functionality.
There is a GoFundMe for her surgery, and we hope you could help by spreading awareness, or donating at {LINK REMOVED}https://www.gofundme.com/brnu6-save-charlies-leg , or searching “Save Charlie’s Leg” on the GoFundMe site.
OSU will perform surgery to reattach her severed toe, repair the 5 fracture sites, reconstruct the foot damage, remove the bone splinters, place 2 screws and 1 pin, as well as bone graph the foot after successfully realigning the pieces. Her foot will then be protected within a cast, while taking anti-inflammatories, pain killers, and a sedative, as well as every 3 days for 2 months (depending upon healing) driving to Corvallis for check-ups and bandage changes.
