This game is a real logic puzzle game with "combat". Love the modular feel with both vanilla and mods. I do wish it had a steam workshop, but their built in system works fine. the multi player is a bit sensitive to lag, but keep your family off Netflix and you should be good most of the time. Like the other comments say, you will loose your self in it with the whole "just one more change, and then i will get off". yeah right!

The best disappointing game I have played this year. Every one knows the interface leaves much to be desired, but the potential of the game is amazing. There are often more than one way to solve a mission and the "oh crap" moments often lead to exciting gameplay. I advise all to read the logs and the mission briefs thoroughly. They help the game make a lot more sense. Sadly, this leads to that disappointment I mentioned. The story writing is the worst part of this and anyone who played the whole way through knows what I mean. If you like sniper and covert ops missions, play this and DO THE TUTORIAL! If you like fast action, then this may not be your style if game. It's an RPG. not an FPS. But I and my friends enjoyed it. I like it so much I am going to try to contact the devs to tell them directly what I think. Do play. Be patient.

GREAT game for small parties. everyone can get involvd. game takes 5 to 8 minutes a round (timer is never longer than 5 minutes). print the manule and have some scratch paper and pencils ready. great way to improve team work and communication skills.

the unit management is much better than most games. tier system is a little odd. its all about going in. turttling not really a thing. good UI, but could be better. post games stats are usful, but leave much to be desired.

Early Access Review
Fantastic game for those not wanting to invest many hours in a game but still get a lot of reward from it. Light weight graphics and simplistic physics makes it smooth running and easy on the internet. make your bot as serious or as wacky as you want. sometimes the wacky ones are surprisingly effective. seeing everone else's design is half the fun of the game. The in game currentcy is easy to gain and the tech tree does not take an inordinate long time to climb. The irl money is not expensive. do beware that sometimes the tech levels get overly mixed and tech 3 weapons show up in T1 games. very annoying. some glitches and sometimes too easy to get stuck. LOTS of clipping.

This is an RTS, but unlike others, it seems to be focused on multi play. there is resource sharing. you can play any "tech level" right away depending on your style of play, communicate startegies to friendly players, and select starting positions before gameplay. the economy is forgiving. units seem to have little health, but don't take a long time to build. the maps are not huge, so be ready to fight fast. structures do seem to be harder to take down. defences are key. like in other rts's, expand or suficate. get to the the other resource points and don't let them go without a fight. get recon to know your enemies weak points and fly behind their defences for effective airstrikes. like the game description mentions, mixed units are more effective than just one kind.

Terraria is great for people new to video games. I got a few people into it and one was not familure with wasd controls. thanks the 2d world and simple objective, players don't have to spend a lot of time learning how to play. don't get me wrong, though. finishing the game will require time, skill, and a lot of planning ahead. even experienced video gamers will scratch their heads a few times. The lack of a story line does make the game feel a little dull, but at the same time it frees up the player to take what ever rout he/he wants. It is an advernture game first. but you can choose what adventer means.
