Tropico and Transport Tycoon have had a secret child and left it in an orphanage in Eastern Europe. Said child then grows to outshine both parents. Yes it's that good, 10/10.

It's a classic. I simply never bore of playing it. I think it's better than the first, but maybe because I started with this one and like both the Eastern Front and Ardennes settings. I haven't even started to touch the mods and I'm nearly at 600 hrs... That's how good/replayable it is!

Shame CoH3 is what it is. All they had to do was expand this version to do:
- Early WW2: eg OKW Britain France Poland. 2 Blitzkrieg campaigns Poland and France/Belgium/NL
- Pacific: US Japan China
- North Africa but not as a new game with unwelcome features and big price tag

Engine would work really well with WW1 too - territory capture/MGs etc - or even modern warfare - Ukraine trenches come to mind.

I digress slightly - this is an epic YES/TWO thumbs up

Nice take on Banished for preppers. A lot of people seem to think it's hard, but it's not so hard when you do the tutorial. Quite a relaxing game actually, once you get your settlement going the only downside is it can be a be limited late game, but the ramp-up is fun.

The last of the Mohicans of good Total War games - and probably the peak - don't bother afterwards. Best AI of the series, it will keep you on your toes. And I don't even like Japan or the setting/period - but keep coming back to this game - that's how good it is!

Is this the best Total War? Yes - already for Vanilla and Kingdoms
And then install Stainless Steel, Tsardoms, Lords of the North and cry as your life disappear into land grabbing, pillaging and constant battles.

This doctrine plays to OKW strengths very well. All attributes are useful - scavenging maxed up, jaegers great long distance shooters, infiltration tactics is a better grenade attack, 105mm barrage essential late game, and that Ostwind just makes Luchs redundant mid to late game. Very recommended

Very good german commander - I would use all 5 attributes in a match: all useful. Area bombing very useful late game, the short barrelled Stug iii is awesome against ru/us infantry spams, the pgrens in a half track are great, assault grenadiers are very durable and tiger needs no introduction. No fault

Best US commander in my opinion - at last with Sherman E8 a decent "cheap" tank that can take on panthers and p4 (Pershing just arrives too late) also love the flamethrower/halftrack combo and the sneaky phosphorous barrage. It is clearly OP but fun

Get it on sale (as with all the other DLCs) but this is one of the better ones - adds something that was not in the base game, especially those fast paced, horse only battles wit combination of horse archers and lancers tactics. Unique interesting cultures that were not in Rome 1 either
