Knytt Underground is one of my least favorite platformer titles. I played primarily on PlayStation and put in close to 20 hours trying to find a point where I'd enjoy the game. Many indie review sites were praising the game--I thought perhaps there was something I was overlooking.

The controls are fine. For me, the issue is everything about the game feels anticlimactic.

For how much the game was praised at release, I had difficulty finding the game on lists that included other indie pixel graphics platformer games from the 2010-2015 time frame.

GUNFIELD is awesome. It's an Early Access bullet hell roguelike that is about halfway through the development process. The Store page says price will increase over time, so now seemed like a great time to give it a chance. I'm glad I did.

Black Ice is a quality game. It's also one of the few games left that still has the legacy 4-pack option.

Consider getting the 4-pack of this game (only an option if you don't already own it).
That'll give you 3 copies of the game to gift to others from your Steam Inventory.

They have consistently updated Black Ice for years with additional free content.

Warning for achievement hunters, or those that want transparency about what features of the game are no longer there:

As of Dec 8, 2023 all of the Steam achievements for Mirror's Edge Catalyst are broken.

I'll update this message if I discover this has changed.

The Wormaid is a challenging puzzle game where you're an endlessly stretching worm. Fill all squares of each room to continue progressing. There's a lighthearted text-based story that progresses every couple of rooms. You can play The Wormaid on most Windows machines, even low end ones, because the developer programs in a lower-level language than most indie developers do.

Comanche is two years old and multiplayer is already unavailable. There are some multiplayer only achievements, so this game cannot be a 100% achieved title in your collection.

Aug 28, 2023 Aqua Kity UDX updated review (neutral rating would be given from me if Steam had support for that):

The developer(s) released at least one update for the game this month. As of today 5 anti-malware vendors on VirusTotal think the current version may be malicious.

McAfee and Microsoft are not reporting the currently released version as malicious which, according to the forums, appears to have stopped the game from being blocked by default on many Windows installs that rely on Microsoft AV.

Intezer reports that up to 8.51% of the main Aqua Kitty UDX exe may have code genes in common with TeamViewer.

July 2023 Aqua Kitty UDX review (thumbs down rating):

The (July 2023) version of Aqua Kitty Ultra Deluxe is detected as a coin miner and other types of Malware by Microsoft, McAfee, and 7 other antivirus vendors.

Earlier this month they had this issue and updated the game to a new version with the same coin miner / malware issue.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords unfortunately seems to have been dishonest. They may have made an empty promise during the biggest Steam sale of 2022 regarding upcoming Steam Deck support for this game.

No updates have taken place. I dislike developers / publishers that make empty promises. See here:

POPTANK softlocked on the second level and won't let me play more levels. I don't think this game is ready yet.
