While a bit overprieced for the content offered.

The dialog made me laught, the characters are likeable and the story is decent.

Dont expect anything special or great.
Just exactly what was promissed.

A fun little puzzle game.

Age of downgrades.

What is it with sequels having less content then there predecessors.
The interfact is awefull.
Half of the feature of sins of the solar empire 1 are missing.
Stuff like tool tips, diplomacy missions, diplomancy ships, a random map generator(The one in the game doesnt let you create a multi star map with wormholes)

This game is nostalgia bait.
Avoid it.

An amusing enough story but too much woke crap.

Only buy if your are bored out of your mind and need a distraction.

Age of mediocrity.

Take everything you loved about the age of wonders serries and forget about it.
That is age of wonders 4.
A downgrade.
Combat is a repeative boring grind, magic has been reduced even futher then age of wonders 3 and has been compleelty defanged, your armies are 90% the same with only minnor changes(More as the game goes on)

It does have some good things like dragon lords and eldrich sovereign.

As a barby dress up doll game it is fine.
As a tbs, as an age of wonders game and as a 4x it has failed.

It isnt a bad game.
But it is an unbalanced game.

Spellforce: Conquest of Eo at the time of writting this review suffers from some very anoying flaws.

Auto resolve screws you over.
While not unique to Conquest of Eo with the sheer amount of enemies you have to fight not beng able to auto resolve without losing several units is unaccaptable.

Speaking of units.
The game makes it very clear:
Your veterian units are unreplaceable.
This is an other major issu.
Not only do you need to constantly level up your troops to keep up with your enemy endless numbers.
But the level up upgrade's are random.
Meaning you can have several worthless upgrade's in a row.

The story is decent.
Nothing to impressive but it is entertaining.
And that is all a story has to be.

I was only a few hours in when i started to look for ways to play the auto resolve.
Combat is that repative.
To put it simple.
You can play the game for 1 hour and get a feel for what you will be doing for the next 15 hours.
It is repetative to the extreem.

Spells are meh.
None of the spells where usefull.
You can not cast them in combat.

I woudnt recommand it until after a few dozen balance patches.
It isnt a bad game.

I would recommand the age of wonders serries over Conquest of Eo.
It offers you more.

Baldurs gate 3.

Is the kind of game that back in the bad old days would be considered a fun little distraction.
A decent game.
But because 98% of games are crap these days baldurs gate 3 stands out as a shiny example of what we have lost.

Good game, good characters and good story.
Does it have flaws?
Ow yes.
Like the divinity games i spend most of my time just walking around killing stuff until i stumbled upon what i was suppose to get.
A recent puzzle hint was:
Repeat the generals step.
I had to look up a guide they ment activate the portrays in order.
I spend 2 hours exploring the map looking for stuff.
Likewise i coudnt find 2 people until after a guide.
Because they where hidden on a bed i walked past 50 times because those beds are a dime in a dozen that i dont pay attention too.

Aka minnor issus.
Mostly just a case of could have been explained better.
They also have divinity god awefull inventory system and made several spells from tablestop useless or removed them entirely.
Like summon food and water or goodberry.
Also every fight is deadly.
This makes you do long rest a lot(expecialy as wizard) which woudnt be so bad it food wasnt so hard to find.
Like a lot of video games they seem to have broken the golden rule of D&D:
Dont change the system.
Because of those change's spells can be swap on the fly(outside of combat).
So you dont need to be plan what spells you might need.
Likewise even after hitting enemies with 3 fireballs in a row they are still standing.
With 2 to 3 hp left.
Playing a wizard isnt fun.
But that could be argued as a D&D problem rather then a lerain problem.

So now for the big question.
Is the game woke:
I have not encountered any woke outside the character creator.

Also the npc are player sexual and being nice gets everyone want you.
Often to the confusion of people who wherent flirting(Just not being a jerk) and they get confessed too by the person they didnt want to romance.

They accuese the companions of going to fast and i can see it.
Personal i havent have much issu but i can see the problem of kidness leading to getting laid feels to forced.
To easy.
No accauly feeling of earning that night of fun.

Its a bad game if you need to have mods for basic stuff like building over walls or having the options to costumize your character.

That is rimworld.
It isnt the game that makes people play it.
It is the mods.
The vampire mod is awesome for example.
It makes me feel more like a vampire then most vampire games(the need to drink blood, the having to sleeping during daytime, the burning in sunlight, the making of thrall's/gouls)

The mods make it worth playing.
The game on its own isnt worth a dime.

Take the worst part of pathfinder.
Multiply it by 10.

You got the dlc.
Its 5 min of stories and 3 hours of pointless puzzle solving.
Made worse with it being very dumb puzzles.
Either you need to geus which item the game wants.
or jump down a very linear and tedious path.

You are the excees.
The mystic power of the main character stuck in stasis until a chaos dimigod freed you in an attempt to free itself from a law dimigod.

You spend a few hours running back and for killing old enemies and allies.
There are from what i can tell 4 ending's:
1: Die and have your main character gain a massive power boost.
2: Help the law and lose your power but get to live in a prison of your choicing.
3: Help chaos and body snach the commander.
4: Create a paradox by creating a perfect combination of chaos and order.
Allowing you to spawn in the real world.

Ignoring planeshift is a spell in pathfinder.

I honestly hope i can avoid having this story polute the main game.
It adds nothing.
The powers arent impressive either.
And ofcourse repurpose doesnt work on most enemies.

My advise.
Dont waste your money on it.
Even free it is a waste of time.

I got this recommended by people i play space engineers with.

If you never played space engineers this looks great.
But i have played space engineers and it is just vastly superior.

I woudnt recommand this game to anyone when there are better games then this.

Fun with friends.
Build stuff.
Blow stuff up.
Overcome challanges.

That last part is the only reason to buy this game.
Because you are the kind of person that goes:
Right that didnt work back to the drawing board.
Unless you enjoy spending hours looking for why something doesnt work and how to fix it this game wont be for you.
