TLDR: Come for the above average combat. Leave because of the obnoxious puzzles and motion sickness.

It's got really good combat, it could be great. But Jesus I know I have to put the thing in the thing, or make a stack of boxes to reach the thing or pull the thing or push the thing NOW ♥♥♥♥ OFF.

this is not a skill issue, these puzzles are made to make dumb people feel smart. They are simian level difficulty. Also I very much have my VR legs. I play flight Sims, FPS, etc but pushing a boulder round a mouse puzzle is not rewarding and struggling to climb a ledge for 5 minutes because I need to drag myself up it while my body flails around wildly is making me sick just thinking of it. I should be walking into every room gun drawn ready for the EXCELLENT combat instead I walk around with my hands by my side like George Bush and the occasional enemy comes out to make me feel like I'm not carrying these AMAZINGLY FUN TO USE guns for no reason, when they do pop out at you and make a noise like my wife when I come home late from work and present a barely credible threat, walking slowly towards me my biggest concern is the physics objects making it impossible for me to move and not the enemy.

I should feel like I'm fighting for my life against a world that wants to kill me. Instead I'm fighting to keep my lunch against a world that wants me to push boulders for half an hour.

4/10 could have been great, focuses on the wrong things.

i've only been asking for this game for (checks notes) 16 bloody years! someone listened, and its bloody beautiful. obviously not the finished product but not far off.

I've had this game since a pretty unplayable, early build. Its still not perfect but if you have a SWAT 4 itch in the trouser department then this should at least get you a little heavy. i would like to see a friendly AI implemented as i am a lonely and sad individual. however i can see that they are going for more of a PVE PVP thing. an actual story mode with well characterised friendly AI, a good order system and more slots for gadgets would be nice.

or if someone could just go ahead and make a modern SWAT 4 that's pretty much all i'm after. please, its been years and nothing else can make me c**.

Its ARMA, the 3rd one. Get it.
