Yet another uninspired clone of fall guys. This one is advertised by streamers though, cause their company is publishing it, so all the simps will play it for a while.

This is a fun little game. It's cheap. It's okay for a couple hours of fun.

The problem is that one of the upgrades is just incredibly overpowered to the point where it forces you into just one type of gameplay and that's not something you want in this kind of a game. It's okay to have the best option, but you want at least some that are competitive. In this case, as long as you sit at 0 shields, all your power-ups are doubled. This means you just have to pray that you get it early and then play a one-hit-death game. Otherwise you're just playing a pointless round that only helps with permanent unlocks.

There is an option that seems to be intended to counter the above. It increases your damage when you're at max health, but it's nowhere near the same level of power and increases your damage only, while the other one doubles everything you get.

It's a shmup, but with Vampire Survivor-like upgrade system. Lots of fun and an original spin on both classic genres, though I can understand how fans of either might not like it due to it not really being a typical example of either of them.

One of the better survivorlike games out there in my opinion, and I've played about 20 of those so far. I'd put it at top3 below Halls of Torment and Vampire Survivors.

The unique spin here is that you don't get weapons as you progress, but instead you create an army of undead minions, upgrade them, combine them to create stronger minions and so on. Your army is fighting for you, healing you, casting status effects on the enemies and the like. If you enjoy survivorlike games you will probably enjoy this one, unless you really don't want the "minions are doing everything" type of gameplay.

After the big content update the game is probably much better value than at release, so I'm changing the review to positive.

They just went too far with it.

I understand that every consecutive Crash game had more features, abilities, gimmicks added, and that they tried to do the same here, but they went too far.

The levels are ridiculously long, way too long. Multiple times the length of the original trilogy's levels.
The new abilities are overcomplicated and annoying.
A lot of "f-you" crates that are very well hidden for no good reason, making it easy to miss some.
Movement sometimes feel slippery and it's very hard to gauge actual distance to obstacles/platforms.

There's plenty of unfairly hard, annoying moments. Now this is fine to an extent because the game has this new "modern" mode where you have unlimited lives and can restart infinitely from a checkpoint, which is probably why they decided making it so annoying is fine. The problem with that is for completionism you still wanna do deathless runs and they are gonna be massive pain.

Just getting through the game to finish it is fine I guess. It's the people who'd like to collect everything that are getting shafted here.

There's not that many good runner games and this one is certainly one of them. The trucks you run on are physics based though, so you can't really memorize any strategies for levels because it's a bit different every time. I would have preferred it if the trucks just drove the same every time but this isn't a dealbreaker.

I really wanted to love this game, and on some level I do, because the original Kao the Kangaroo was my first full pc game I ever owned so I have a lot of nostalgia for the series, but it's just undercooked and buggy. This game is full of bugs, not just minor bugs, but actual gamebreaking ones. It's a shame because it is otherwise a colorful game with a lot of potential, and despite its completely non existent difficulty there is some fun to be had here once it works fine.

You can randomly get stuck in the ground in most levels. If that happens, the only thing you can do is to restart the level. The collectibles info & collection status seem to be resetting from time to time for whatever reason. Some levels will soft lock you by not respawning powerups that are required to open some doors if you restart from a check point. Some other players have reported bugs that wiped progress from their save files, made unlocked clothes disappear and so on. All these bug reports received replies from the devs a couple months ago: "we will look into it" - months later, it's still bug ridden. Not sure if anything was ever fixed, but if it did, it didn't help much.

The gameplay is stiff as hell. Controls are unresponsive, there's a weird lag after every input. This game sucks.
