I am a big time fan of the franchise and if you are too, you will enjoy the hell out of it. Even if you're not really into fighting games, aren't good at them and don't want to play vs. other players online, you will have a lot of fun with this game for a decent amount of hours for the price.

Originally, this review was a negative one, mainly due to the removal of the base liberation system. After having played for 35+ hours now, I'd still prefer to have it in the game, but it's not that bad without it.

The old base liberation system was replaced with a more objective driven mission style base liberation. There are still plenty of activities in the game, and in general there is fun to be had here.

What can I say, if you liked JC 1, 2, 3 you will probably like this one too, but less so.

Even though this is a spinoff, the gameplay is very similar to the main entries. It's not that much shorter too, 100%ing the game takes about 30-35 hours.

Humour, great mechanics, lots of optional stuff, different endings. It's all here. A must have for any Neptunia fan and for any JRPG fan in general.

One of the best jrpg games currently on steam. Others have written great long reviews about the game, and I fully agree. The only modern jrpg franchise that competes with trails on steam right now is probably Neptune/Neptunia. Consider this review a criticism of the port, and not the game itself. I would say "buy it so we can get better ports in the future" but I already bought FC and SC...and I got this now. It doesn't seem to work that way.

The port is unfortunately where things stop being so great. At the time of writing this review we are like 3 weeks from the launch and there are still major bugs and errors in the game, some of them are being reported for weeks and they still aren't fixed.

Probably the worst thing is the broken NG+ option. The problem is that a cutscene that destroys all your quartz (power gems used to boost character's stats and give them magic) also destroys all of them in the NG+, which is not what should happen. And yes, they should carry over as this is what happens in the original version of the game.

And this is a big problem. There are rare quartz in the game that you only get 1 per playthrough, NG+ might be used to gather more of these in order to attempt harder difficulties later on. At this moment, the only way to fix this is to tamper with the save file on your own (for example by using cheating software) which is definitely not something acceptable in a product you paid for.

Another issue, which will be less important to some and more important to others are the achievements. Some of them, namely the ones for beating the game, are broken for NG+ too. So unfortunately, you will have to settle for feeling good about yourself because you're not gonna get this hard/nightmare achievement for beating the game on NG+.

The game also experiences some visual/resolution glitches as well as localization (translation) problems. Resolution/display options keep reverting to defaults or changing to different resolutions for uknown reasons. The interface in the game keeps glitching out visually too.

I love this game but really.... if you're gonna sell it for 30 Euro, make sure it works before releasing it.

I would recommend waiting with purchase until you can at least play NG+ without using save editing software

Fun little platformer. What I liked about it was that the collectibles and 'secrets' are not that well hidden so I am able to find almost all of them without looking at any guides etc. which feels kind of good as usually I am nowhere near full completion in such games.

It's also quite easy, because whenever you die, you just restart at the last checkpoint, and the enemies you killed don't even go back to life. If you're in the mood for a very light, easy and fun platformer, I could wholeheartedly recommend this game. It's also probably great for kids.

This is a gem. Really fun and engaging gameplay, fun system, replayability, side content to complete.

It does feel a bit old from time to time and the graphics are quite ugly but that doesn't detract from the fun.

It's just a great game, one that you would expect from Falcom.

This is a solid and competent jrpg. It's probably not a masterpiece, but it's good enough to be a 100% pick for any jrpg fan, and of course IF games fan even more.

The biggest problem with this game is probably that it is pretty short. People are beating it in about 13 hours without grinding, I am a grinding type and I will probably finish the main plot of the game in about 20 hours. It has NG+ and some additional side content to do though, so there is definitely a good couple hours more there. So yeah - it's still longer and better than I am Setsuna :P

Must have for any jrpg fan really, but try to get it during sale, it will probably be like 90% off next time.

This is so simple, but yet so good. Also has a decent variety (challenges, etc) to make you play for multiple hours. Well worth the extremely low price it is being sold for.

A platformer game with beautiful graphics, old school vibe and interesting combat and movement mechanics. One of those games that you wish you had bought earlier after finally playing it.

It's a classic-style shooter that is decent enough to recommend to the fans of the genre. It doesn't feel as good as Shadow Warrior, Serious Sam, Doom etc. but there is some fun to be had in it for sure. It's also quite old by now so you can count on discounts - I bought mine at 5€ and a couple days later I see it for 3.

People are complaining about it being too easy due to the infiinite dash being included in the redux version - I see that as a valid complaint, but I'm not that great at those games so I'm actually happy about this feature and the game being easier in general. If it makes the game too easy for you, just don't use it.
