Played around 200+ hours in the various betas starting in spring of 2016. I haven't played the game in 5 months, but it's quite staggering how they somehow made the game even worse than it alredy was.

The new UI is horrendus. I mean it wasn't the best UI in the world in the past, but altleast it showed more than 1 thing at the time in the screen rather than this abomintion with its size 500000 font. Also the main menu screen used to have your ship as the central element and you could move the camera arond a bit. Now the ship is just kinda there in the distance with the menu buttons takin half the screen for no reason and when you go to modify your ship the camera angle is just bizarre.

Then they also made the already horrible Tier system even worse by locking T4 to Legendary matchmaking. So now when you finally get your first tier 4 ship, you are going to be matched againts ppl with fully decked out T5:s. The old system of T3 and T4 in the same tier was quite bad, but this is just.. horrible. It does however seem like an exellent way to kill the game.

Also here's just a quick mention of how the game used to be before the progression 2.0 update came out in late 2016/early 2017(i think).
-No Tiers! All ships were about the current tier4 levels of power, which meant every battle was determined by skill and team compostion instead of just the other team having more higher tier ships.
-5v5 (I assume its still 8v8 tried to find a match but gave up after 10mims) so no unkillable triple koschels surrounded by dreads.
-Modules were for all ships of the same class insted of per ship and unlocked via character level and then bought for ingame currency. Officer briefings were also unlocked va leveling instead of being locked behind random T3/T4 ships.
-Currrency system was much simpler: 200 for win 100 for loss. Can't remember what ships cost back then (around 10k-15k maybe?) but you could also buy them around 10$ each. Modules and officer briefings ranged from 500 to 4000.

I just wish that i could still play the game as it was in summer of 2016. You could just jump in for quick battle every now and then when you had little time to kill. But obviosly the game publisher doesn't want to make games where you play a couple of matches every now and then, because that wouldnt make them as much money in microtransactions than an unbearable grindfest. So sad.
There might be some things that I forgot to talk about, but i might add them later on.
