I cannot recommend this heap of trash it neither caters to xcom or any well known TBT games or history enthusiasts, incredibly lazy programming decisions that make no game play or historical sense DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND BUY SILENT STORM INSTEAD It's what these talent less hacks are trying to halfheartedly emulate with slightly shinier graphics anyway and say what you will about SS but atleast that game has got character and I find their only shortcoming is from search engines and things like Wikipedia were in their infancy, TODAY there is no excuse for having just wrong bullet count in magazines and stupid stuff like that these people need to learn the difference between historically based and loosely historically inspired fantasy.

One hell of a B-day present from BI, yeah yeah it doesn't have as much stuff as IF sure but a whole lot betterlooking and polished and less janky as mods like IF tend to be for you guys who can't fork out a Mcdonalds meal for this are just cheapskates and remember who knows what the future will bring, I mean they already have other faction assets as seen in the intro movie

Germans carrying Lee Enfields like it's nobodies business. At least in Commandos 2 HD the enemy rifles were of so low def you couldn't really tell what type they were (which is way better imho) at least that isn't being stupid, lazy(by only having to model one rifle for all) and annoyingly historically non-authentic just for the sake of being stupid, lazy and annoyingly historically non-authentic

hope but not holding my breath they fix it just go play Commandos 2 HD

Do I recommend this game? YES if you played the original ones like myself I However have a few pet peeves I find the devs failed to implement in this remaster

1, The thief surely has around average IQ (around 100) so how is he incapable of tying a knot i.e. tying up enemies, like... sure it's to create his "META" but C'mon
2. The Green beret supposed to be Irish but clearly speaks with a Scottish accent???
3. Sapper being British in THE BRITISH COMMANDOS wears an American army issue M1 helmet??? (and no it's not a uk para helmet it doesn't have a flared rim at the front which sappers helmet clearly does have)
4. Despite the Commandos being British and throughout ww2 worked closely with the regular army at times they did so with the British army exclusively all "allied" soldiers speak with a generic American accent and wear US army uniforms
5. US Army's standard issue rifle was the M1 Garand not the British mk 3 SMLE

Guess Spaniards know about as much about ww2 as a 4 year old knows about fornication and seem to have a severe case of unabletopickupahistorybook-itis the lot of them

ACTUAL GAME CRITICISM :

Why can't I set my commandos up ready to shoot as a groop and be able to switch between hold and fire at will? yes I play commandos as if they were actual military trained soldiers who use things like ambush tactics and not just a bunch of idiots who crawl around and punch out an entire military base and do so by luring every soldier away from his post with a frikkin cigarette pack (yes it's messy but it's way more fun and arguably the most realistic way you could play Commandos)

Okay so I always wanted to try the famed HALO series of games. Been PC master race since PS2. But I can't even understand how this can be a good game on any platform? I just can't understand how an Assault rifle can be as effective as spitting on someone and has no ADS... sorry that just doesn't compute

need longer Matches since we have realistic reload times it doesn't make any sense to have only 12 min per round!! also very common that the round ends with half a team left

Fun to play on your own but laughably un-creative and un-original with it's boring swordplay and with the constant cutting down of hords of idiots fun but wait til it goes on sale cuz sure as hell ain't worth full price and if you want a legendary sword-play game go for RYSE: Son of Rome(great swordplay, great story and fun multi)

Stardock Games the creators of one of the greatest 4x game ever! Sins of a solar empire(Which is buggy as hell but the concept is the best 4x game ever) So.... I of course thought this was basicaly a spiritual successor to SOSE not having played any of the previous GC games so... sure you can say it stays true to the originals, I don't know. So after being bummed out by endless space back in the day you start to realize why I don't recommend GC3..... I hate battle viewer! just sitting there watching a predetermined battle unfold, I want to have some say in my games weather the odds are with or against me. Like in Rome total war it was possible to have the odds stacked 90% against you but because I used superior "Real time" tactics I could win. That's why Rome is one of the best RTS games to date. If you want a decent 4x game go for SOSE

All that potential though! with the custom ship building, cool looking and well designed Alien races what a waste!
