A tour de force of everything you love about Half Life, this remake not only stands on its own but (in my opinion) has far surpassed the original. Whether you've a Valve super-fan who's been hooked since '98 or someone who doesn't know a vortigaunt from a barnacle, this is the definitive Half Life 1 experience. Black Mesa is lovingly crafted to bring Valve's masterpiece into the future, everything that's been changed is better than ever and will leave any gamer raving for more.

First, let me just say that I originally thought I'd hate the new graphics, but.... damn! The game looks so much better! Colored lighting! More poop! The game feels like everything the original could've been, especially since Edmund McMillen said that he wanted the original to be a bullet hell game. Everything you could want and more! Excellent game. Words fail me.

By far one of my favorite games.
I rarely do ANYTHING related to the story... but it's still fun to kill people and raise hell.
