What a Gem :)

Ok 1st off i dont understand why reviewers are comparing this to XCOM, it is nothing like XCOM.
Both are turned based games yes, but that is where it stops.
Hard West uses a unique turn based system but it is fun and it works.


I started my first scenario crawling deep into a mine, and my lead char's head got cracked.
Lost some core stats.
I decided not to restart the game and see how the "healing over time" would work.
The cracked skull did heal but a piece of my char's brain was missing and he was as stupid as ppl comparing this to XCOM.
The healing din't only have negatvie efects, it also had some possitve effects as i could now walk allot further with action points.
So my lead char was now as thick as a brick and could walk himself deeper into trouble.
I still finished the scenario with him like this.
I higly reccomend turning on the combat injuries option for each scenario, it makes for great fun.

The game uses multiple poker decks of cards to uplift your attributes for each person in your possy.
This is a fun aspect because before every battle you can choose which cards you want for each of your possy members, and that defines the attributes they have.
The cards change as you play a scenario so it is a good idea to review your cards before each battle.
Having multiple cards from the same deck give extra bonuses, WhoooHah partner :)

I would most definitely buy any new content that gets released for this game.
