Game's nice, not too difficult, not too easy. Kinda wish it had a bit more love from the devs with more content. There's a bunch of bugs, with some that are quite destructive, but its mostly funny stuff. Overall game's worth playing at least once just to enjoy the style of it, but its not gonna be unforgettable like Dead Cells, or other bigger games.

Played this game once on normal difficulty and got 100%, and I must admit that this game is really well made for a 1.0 version, but getting the 100% made me realise that there are some massive flaws in this game that should be adressed, because they reduce the joy of playing the game by quite a bit.

1. Combat exp gain - It works the same as in Skyrim, so each hit gives 1 exp, and this system was flowed in that game as it is in this game. The game punishes the player for playing with slower weapons that deal more damage, and also punishes them for just getting stronger, which is bizzare. This system also makes some classes way less enjoyable to play than others, where Ranged can easily get to max level as they get massive amounts of exp from souls and just their weapons being quite fast, meanwhile a class like Magic is absolutely shafted as they have very slow attacks that deal a lot of damage, while also requiring the use of mana to even be able to deal the damage. There needs to be a reward for either killing enemies, or a multiplier of exp based on the damage the player deals, because this is just painful to play with, especially if you ever want to switch your class in the middle of a world, as you no longer enjoy what you were playing before. This system also encourages the player to attack enemies that take 0 dmg, which like, why? That shouldnt reward the player at all, and yet that's how I was farming my Melee exp.

2. There are basically 2 classes in this game at this point, Melee and Ranged, because Magic and Summoner are barely playable - Magic is not the worst, but they can only get 1 weapon crafted, from what I've seen. Where every other weapon is an RNG drop, and makes it really difficult to get them as you wont be able to get stronger with easy to get gear. Summoner is absolutely painful to play as a class. They have to farm their gear from mobs, they have to play with the worst AI of any minion I've seen in my life, they only have 3 weapons in the game, where only 1 of them is actually usable because it doesnt have any AI. And they also have some weird synergy with Magic, but this synergy only works if you have magic at around lvl 75, which idk how would you even get to that level in a normal playthrough tbh, especially if you want to play with mostly Summon dmg.

3. RNG - While RNG isnt the worst on Melee or Ranged, because you can get items from crafting, the fact that you cannot do the same for Magic or Summon, makes for a really painful expierience. There needs to be a crafting bench for magic classes, just to reduce the absolute grind that players who choose to play that dmg type would have to suffer through. I defeated one boss like 10 times in the early game, only to discover that they dropped a Magic weapon, when I decided to kill them once more at the end. I cant even imagine the expierience of having to play a Magic class, and actually having to redo a boss so many times with a sub-optimal setup, only to get 1 upgreade.

4. Anti-Melee boss design - A lot of the bosses in this game just feel like they were designed to be played with a Ranged weapon, which is fine, but why not give the option to a Melee class to also be able to deal damage from range. This isnt the biggest problem in the early game, its annoying, but its fine. In the endgame though, its a completely different expieirence, where a lot of the bosses are basically a walking wall of death, that kills the player instantly after touching them. Melee also have a lot of "HP on hit" items, which just feels like pure cheese to play with, tbh.

I really liked playing this game, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I would go mad if I have to play it with a Magic dmg or Summon class, or if I didnt change to Ranged with the endgame bosses.

This game is a good sequel, but I prefer the 1st game.

The 1st game's gameplay was compact in 3 small buildings, where basically all the action and story took place. And while this game expands on the amount of locations, it also just makes it feel less focused, and less interesting than in the original.

The gameplay is a bit frustrating in how similar it is to the 1st game. The only real changes are the removal of the hiding anywhere button, and the introduction of the roaming enemies, which dont really pose too much of a threat. The amount of hazardous obstacles got increased to absurd levels, but the main problem of them not really being able to hit you, as long as you run through them, makes them also a non-threat. The main monster of the game can now 1 shot you, but despite that, its still really difficult to die in this game, if you played and learned from the 1st game.

I also am not the biggest fan of how "lazy" the quests for safety items are in this game. Where all of them are literally "Talk to guy. Find 3 items. Talk to guy, again, to exchange 1 item. Go to Crafting desk. Craft.". Doing this once would be fine, but 4 times? The 1st game wasnt too original in how its quests looked like either, as they're all basically simple fetch quests, but there the game at least tried to make them feel a little bit unique, while here its impossible to not notice the similarities.

But there are some things that were changed in this game, that I liked.

Reduced amounts of endings. And while this sounds like a negative, it really isnt. The 1st game had 5 endings, where endings 1-4 were just "The same ending, just add a bit at the end", and getting all of them was just not fun. And the only important ones were basically ending 4, as it had all the small story bits, and ending 5, which was basically the True End of that game.

There's also the Crowbar. Which is introduced pretty late into the game, and it allows you to open doors in old locations, making backtracking way more fun and rewarding, unlike the Art quest from the 1st game, for example. There are also the matches, which allow you to get more items, and even open some doors from the inside of rooms, which wasnt introduced as a mechanic, so finding it felt really great.

Overall I like this game, its a good sequel, and I would recommend it. But I still prefer the original.

Game's really nice, its not too difficult, but it fits the skill level of the player. Characters are pretty nice as well, with the most exciting part of the story being the various notes throughought the school, its not always easy to read them, but they show the different relationships and feelings people had in the school between each other. Its also cool how the game kinda shifts, at the start it being a horror game, where you just wanna hide from the monster, meanwhile at the end its more of a puzzle game, trying to route how to move from place to place with the least amount of danger in between. Loved it.

A really fun game, there are some annoying spots where its kinda confusing on how to progress because of the hitboxes of items you're supost to interact with being kinda wonky, but overall really depressing and enjoyable expierience
