An incoherent mess, painful to look at not just the cartoonish graphics, the map is just littered with info making even early game seem like a chaotic mesh of colors. Terrible terrible diplomacy really just awful. Districts are annoying and it just doesnt feel like anything really matters, as long as you get a strong army going. Spy network is very annoying, micromanaging a boring yet specific nightmare. Wonders are pretty much irelevant, maybe building 1 or 2 during a whole game, and oonly one actually being relevant to something. Im sure they will eventually fix the diplomacy, but the core graphics and UI will be hard to salvage. Cant stress how much i love the civilization series, probably would've found the cure for cancer if i hadnt wasted my life playing this series, but beyond earth lasted about a day on my computer and this one seems to follow in its footsteps.
