This DLC is extremely fun. I prefer playing Baranor over the others because of the interesting ways in which mobility and combat have been adjusted (Flinging myself over cliffs with the grappling hook + upgrade and then shield charging through the orcs). The mercenaries you hire are really strong, and you can do events with them like ordinary orc captains to level them up. There are a lot of complaints about losing your progress when you die, but it's extremely easy to survive when you use the shield charge, which can be rapidly charged, disables half a crowd, blocks projectiles, and successfully damages enemies who counter-attack. Not only this, but story progress and Torvin upgrades are permanent, so once you work your way through, you can rapidly recover progress. Collecting artifacts, finishing story missions, and taking the fort only took a couple hours, most of that time being dedicated to permanent upgrades. I would love a Shadow of War game where I just use Baranor to take over Mordor and fill fortresses with a greater variation of Easterlings.

Age of Mythology has been one of my all time favorite games since I was a kid. And when I heard there was going to be an expansion, I was so excited. And then I bought this DLC and jumped straight into the campaign. I was so happy to see how horribly broken it was. The story isn't very followable or creative. On the final map, the enemy units didn't even move until I had almost completed my objective. The dragon myth unit can't cross road textures. The cinematic music is way too loud, and sometimes the in-game music doesn't even play. I can't recomend this DLC until there's been a patch to put this in a professional state.

Probably one of the funnest games I've played in a while. It's challenging, extremely unique about how it does things and plays, and that grapple hook is fun as a ♥♥♥♥♥
