This game is excellent on its own, but installing the Titanium Mod gives the game a vast improvement!

Great strategy game!!! Installing the Ultimate Apocalypse Mod is definitely recommended to expand the complexity and excitement of the game, which successfully adds a much more varied, difficult and intense combat experience.

Now, this game is NOT as horrible as most people are making it out to be. It is, however, NOT as good as it could have been, and is nowhere near as good as it should have been; the developers made the mistake of attempting to cater to a wider audience, as opposed to polishing and mastering a game that is specifically created and intended for particular individuals. To make the game even more spectacular, I believe the game needed to have the following things added and changed:

1) It needed to master the building system (original Dawn of War comes to mind)
2) It needed more playable races. (Tyranids, Tau, however many that there are in the universe)
3) It needed a reworked and polished environmental cover system (Company of Heroes comes to mind).
4) It needed an epic campaign, like the Dark Crusade (Total War Series also comes to mind)
5) It needed more unit types per army (like the Ultimate Apocalypse mod).
6) It needed way more customisation options for each unit squad, for a particular species (Rocket Launchers, Melta guns, Auto cannons, Graviton Guns, Laz Cannons just to name a few)
7) Commander units should have been trainable and already available at the outset of a battle; however the elite unit deployment system is a good edition, but elite units are not commander units – they are elite units, like a sternguard elite squad, or a venerable dreadnought with super powerful Claws and Titans - those are very cool!!!)
8) The terrain itself needed more strategic locations to help players formulate interesting and rewarding tactical manoeuvres, as opposed to all out direct battle. Epic frontal battle is good, and the army count allows it, but it can be very repetitive and boring when the environment does not allow (it is very poor) for new and interesting plans to be carried out.
