I had gamed with Steve since 2009, mainly playing Left 4 Dead 2 with him. He and another friend named Mike Pel aka Loco, who has also passed, started a Steam group to stay in touch that has over 2300 members presently. He had his own 8 man coop server called Gunny's Hooch (now named Locos and Gunnys IGY6), and it is one of the longest running game servers for PC gaming online to this day, having served tens of thousands of players with millions of zombies killed via the Steam client for PC. Not only was Gunny a friend, that apparently very few of his family members knew of which he had gaming friends, but I spoke with him regularly. He was a great friend during my son's 7 deployments, giving me great advice and comfort. I helped him build his last gaming rig as well. Our stats website for our servers is named after him.
