As an avid Frostpunk 1 fan, I wanted to love this game so much, but for FP2, i think it wanting to differentiate from it's predecessor got in it's own way.

Pros:

Music, Art, Atmosphere, everything working together to pull you into this captivating world and it's people, still impresses.

Con:

Let's start with the minor one, the chapter based approach to the main story is fine, but you either move to a new place to start a city, or inherit a city, which significantly weakens your connection to it. The sheer scale of it being much bigger also inevitably makes it harder for you to grasp what's going on within each corner of the city. Overall, the scale is interesting, at times jaw dropping, but the luster quickly fades as you get into the nitty gritty part of city building.

Major flaw for me: UI/UX is just horrible. Often times I'm stuck and wondering where a specific building is, whether a menu is scrollable, unable to place building and not knowing why, unable to find a specific upgrade or tech that my mission or a faction is pestering me to get, the list goes on and on. The amount of times this game made me tab out and google, I have lost count.

Conclusion:

I wanted to love this game so much as I love FP1 to death, but I think the elegance in game design which comboed with the stellar art and atmosphere, is lost in FP2. Things are bigger, more complicated, but not for the better, which is reflected in it's sub-par UI/UX and weaker emotional connection to your city.

Always loved zombie game, but this game crashes on me with no error message after about 10 to 15 minutes.
Looked around on google, many people have had this problem, many since 2015, but there has been no definitive fix.

Not acceoptable for a 2 years old game.

My computer spec should not be a problem, bought it in 2017 with gaming in mind.
