TL/DR: I rate Evolve 4.5 out of 5 stars

Evolve is a top-tier game worthy of an A grade. I've logged over 300 hours playing Evolve, have unlocked all 16 of the original characters, have the original 12 Hunters Elite and have unlocked 44 of the 49 acheivements so I feel pretty entitled to my opinion. I've paid my dues as both a Hunter and a Monster and the recent release of the Tier 4 Hunters and Monster as breathed a breath a fresh air into a game that was very far away from being stale. For a game this early in its shelf life and with has few patches that have been released it is remarkably stable. The 4 vs. 1 lobby/party system works as well if not better than it's contemporaries but the 2-party matchmaking needs some improvement. The thing I like most about this game is the way it forces the Hunters to work together to defeat the Monster. Teamwork and communications are crucial to the team's success. My biggest peev about playing Evolve is having to party up with Hunters who don't have a mic. If you don't have a mic then don't play this game should be an unwritten rule. This game is worth every penny I spent on it and then some. Playing as both the Hunter and as the Monster as improved the way I play both. It's crucial to understand the strengths and limitations of each character whether you're playing with or against them. Don't be afraid to network with other Evolve players. 4 or 5 people parties are best and have the best ambience. I highly recommend spending your hard-earned money on this game.
