First of all, I just want to say that I enjoyed a lot the first HELLDIVERS game, and I was a bit afraid to buy HELLDIVERS 2 has I thought it could not provide me the same experience. I was mistaken, this game is phenomenal. I love the fact that you no longer are attached to a partner screen camera style, giving you the liberty to explore the huge maps with or without mates. It is super enjoyable and fun, it has awesome visuals and scenery, and awesome creatures.

However, there are a few problems going around that should have developers attention and that is why I am adding the following paragraphs to this review... Hope the developers see this comment, as I will also be updating the review state as the patches are released.

PROBLEMS SO FAR:
- [FIXED] Quit game / Game crash leaves the game running in the background, and I cannot re-run the game unless steam is restarted
- [FIXED] I have experienced game crashes by leaving a menu (clicking ESC), or by clicking in Equip
- My friends have been experiencing random game crashes in missions, and quit often, which makes an unplayable experience for them
- I have seen a giant pink interrogation mark attached to one of the helldivers in my party, I believe it failed to load something
- In a duo party in a mission, if I am dead and spectating my teammate and he gets knocked, my camera switches to spectate my body and gets stuck there until I get resurrected
- I don't know if this is random or not, but I have experienced being stuck at the ship entrance when I have joined the squad at the same time as one of my friends. I got stuck, he didn't.

IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GAME (on top of my head):
- Introduce more factions.
- Introduce objective variations in each faction. The objectives should vary, or even be different, depending on the type of planet you are.
- Make new planet models. The planet model itself looks very similar for every planet, having a different color scheme, and only one or other aspect changed.
- Add weapon upgrades (as the first HELLDIVERS had)
- Add helmet attributes
- Allow single player when internet is unavailable
- Add infopedia like in the first HELLDIVERS
- Improve NPCs interactions
- Improve emote animations, some stop abruptly
- End game screen should allow fast foward or skip option. It takes to much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time
- Make more planets to be available once a sector is unblocked. Is it suppose to only have 2/3 planets available in the current sector in each faction?
- Re-think planet percentages contributions. The planet percentages look slower than the first HELLDIVERS, and the current player based count is higher than the first one.
- Maybe remove anti cheat for a PVE game? It looks kinda silly to have

Don't get me wrong, this game is a masterpiece.

I played it way back in PS3, and loved it so much I have decided to complete it 100% to get the platinum throphy.

A few years went by, felt nostalgic when I saw it in such low price in steam that I have decided to buy it, wanting to complete it 100% again. I got disappointed when I noticed they didn't put any effort in adding the same achievements on steam. Sorry, but until further change, this review will remain as is.

Just amazing. What an incredible journey. The game's story is super rich providing several hours of gameplay just for the main story. The gameplay feels just right, for both aggressive and stealth player styles, and the idea of riding motorbikes in this apocalyptic scenario is surprisingly satisfactory. The mobs and zombies are what make this game challenging, especially if they come as hordes! The audio is amazing, immersive, and fits perfectly within the game. The characters are interesting, and well-designed, especially the main character Deacon St. John, and the player easily bonds with them. And to finalize, an outstanding environment and landscapes.

We all know that this game had an unfortunate start upon release. A port to PC with several issues, crashes, and in-game bugs, among others. But people, that was way back then. It's currently the end of 2022, the game suffered many updates with big bug fixes, and I don't see a better time for people to give an opinion on the game.

I would like to give recognition to the developers of the game, who listened and managed to solve many of the reported issues providing this masterpiece that the game is right now. I also hope that the directors reconsider the development of Days Gone 2.

NOTES TO PREVIOUS REVIEWERS: If you gave a bad review, I strongly encourage you to make a fresh replay of the game, and then to re-consider your review.

This game is actually incredible and has a lot of potential to be one of the best FPS games out there...

But... I only recommend this game if you will play with a full party of friends.

From all the FPS games I've played so far, this one has the worst community I've ever seen.

And the worst part is there are only a FEW PUNISHMENTS OR NO PUNISHMENTS AT ALL implemented to punish people for their actions. As so, people get incredibly annoying, do whatever they want, leave ranks whenever they want.

This game is my new life... Everytime I try to quit the game, it remembers me how pathetic my life is and challenges me to keep playing... 11/10.

Seriously, It is a great Zombie game. It reminds me of Left4Dead but a lot better.

For those who like this kinda zombie wave survival games I recommend this one, for sure!

Sadly, I had to change my review for this game.

I have been playing this game for about 7 years now, and this is, without a doubt, one of the best games in the world.

However, last updates (patch V2.27) ruined a 7 years experience for me. 80(+)% of the game that I now join, I am forced to play with 160 ping and there is nothing I can do.

I know that this is not a problem in my end because a friend of mine also complained about this issue this year (but somehow vanished after patch V2.26, if not mistaken).

Coincidence or not, these types of problems started to rise after Epic Games acquired Rocket League.

Also... I don't agree with the huge hard reset that happens every single season. This has special impact in ranks 1400+ elo, where 2000+ elo players start from 1400, smashing actual 1400 players. Hard resets makes sense, but not like this.

Until the issue is fixed, my review stands as not recommend the game.
