Fantastic game so far, but I wasn't sold on Kingdom management mechanics until after act 3 (currently on act 4 so my opinion might change again)

After spending about 156 hours in the game, I can safely say that Baldur's Gate is probably the best RPG I've played since Mass Effect/DAO. While there are bugs and other issues in the later parts of the game (Please let me take off the clown makeup), the overall package is fantastic. The characters are amazing, for example Lae'zel went from a character i begrudgingly took with me to my favorite companion, her story arc is amazing and it's a shame I couldn't take her with me all the time(party make up issue not Story related).
The overall story is good, but honestly I found the most memorable moment to be a side quest in Act 1 and seeing the consequences of it upon reaching baldur's gate.
Difficulty is ok on balanced, had some issues in some spots, but it gets exponentially easier later on and only the last fight or achievement hunting gave me pause.
So if you're looking for a great rpg to sink your teeth into and have a lot of time to spare, i'd highly recommend it.

Pretty Fun, I'd recommend playing it with a controller though.
