Four manly Dwarfes mine for precious Minerals on a hostile Planet, including Guns, Beer and a lot of Bugs to shoot at.
Seriously, do you need any other argument to buy this game?

So i played pretty much all X Games over the years at least for a while, suffered at the horrible inital Release of X3 (it literally crashed every 10 Minutes) and survived the Rebirth Desaster (tried to like it but to no avail).
Yet, after roughly Five and a half hours, i can say that X4 is by far the best one in the Series at least in my opinion. It has most of the stuff that made the other games so good and adopted the better parts of Rebirth ontop of this. So now you can once again fly any ship you want. And walk around on stations (and your ships) as you did in Rebirth. Mangement of you stuff is done in menus that aren made for gamepads. Those might be confusing at the beginning, but you get used to it.
But before you buy, you should be aware of the fact that this is a typical Egosoft release, which means some annyoing bugs and even unfinished stuff here and there. Then again, this is nothing that couldnt be fixed by properly maintaining the game.
While i wish that i never had bought Rebirth, i already got tons of fun out of X4 for my 50 Bucks.

I have this game since release so i think, its about time for some sort of Review...

In case you dont know who the angry Videogame Nerd is, look for him on Youtube. Seriously, do it. And if its only to get all the references and Characters which can be found all across his Channel.
Now you will understand what this game is all about. Its pretty much "Feel like James Rolfe aka AVGN-Simulator".
Good Fun, hard as balls Levels, overall a good Challenge. You will swear, you will cry, maybe take a dump on your Computer.
Never managed to beat it, to be honest.

Funfact: James says at one Level: "Who ever designed this Level, is an A-Hole." Hes right and to some extend it counts for every single Level in the Game. In a good way, btw.

10/10 would pretend to be the AVGN again.

Startet as a poor guy with a small dog
Wandered around in search for some food
Had to use the Dog as distraction for some Bandits that chased me
Ate it afterwards
Went to town
Damn, need more food but have no money
Went into random house and stole some dried meat from the table
got beaten up and thrown into jail
managed to escape at night
Went home to play some Kenshi

As other people already said, this is Battlefront 2 how it should be.
Epic Space Battles in which you can board the enemys Ships and Space Stations, fly Fighters and Bombers. And if thats not enough, go and command one of those Capital Ships!
There are Ground Based Maps aswell were you get to drive Tanks and fly Gunships.
So, what about the downsides? Well, this uses the Unreal Engine 3 which is obviously pretty old now. But then again this makes sure you get decent frames even when you play it on a potato.
At the beginning you may feel lost, you have to spend some hours to get into the design of the different Missions, how Loadouts work, what Weapons you should use etc. But you know what? I enjoyed those learning Lessons, there is so much going on in a match, it just doesnt get boring.

P.S: If you like it, spread the word! This game needs way more Players, seriously!

Simply the best and most refined Part of this franchise.

Its exactly what we needed:
This games doesnt have "Blud Rehvens" with their eternal Quest to steal other Chapters stuff while Boreale still tries to perform a proper STEHL REIN.
Also there are no Ultrasmurfs posing as the Imperiums Posterboys and ultimate Mary Sues. (Captain Titus from "Space Marine" was kinda cool, though)

Instead, we get to play the Space Furr... uhm... Wolves, fighting the Greenskins at Sanctus Reach.
Turn based 40k goodness at its best, kinda like Armageddon or Final Liberation in a somewhat smaller scale. Some more Units or even entire Armies would make it even better, but those are things that still can be implemented.

You like the Space Furries?

I cant understand the complaints about this, James never said he would make a multimillion Dollar Blockbuster, he just did, what he loves to do: making movies. Get over it.
For Fans (or fellow Nerds in my Case) like me its kind of a 2 hours long AVGN Episode and i actually enjoyed it.

Build my first Colony, everything went very well.
After a few days, a Mountain Lion showed up.
He didnt do much and kept wandering around, slept sometimes right next to my Storage Area.
A few days later, a Rat went crazy and chased one of my guys around, it took my best hunter a while
to shoot it.
At this point, i decided to kill the Lion, so he wont get mad at my people too.
A bad mistake.
My Hunter failed to shoot him and got torn apart.
Then the Lion went on to murder the other two guys, also some random Guy that just showed up to stay at my place.
Everyone dead.


10/10, would attack Mountain Lions again.
