Masterpiece. Only downside is that the combat can be slow, and tends to get tedious with attacks missing--or how one small intimate fight can turn into a war with 15 different goons each taking a turn to run up to you.

Not sure if it's the PC port, but this game is not very good. Cast is cool, but there's no variations, so just learn one or two confirm combos and mash them or wait until you open someone up with your flavor of the month Kameo. Online handles like driving a boat, (plus no latency or MS indicators, so who knows if its lag) sometimes moves come out, sometimes they don't--hope your down 1 hits first! The fake konquest mode is a slog as your only purpose is to level up your character to unlock your 1 gear piece, story mode can be watched on youtube in 4 hours while you play a superior fighting game, or just an actually fun game. It's sad that the best part of this AAA game is the bad voice acting from the legendary JCVD and has-been Vampire lady.

It's a 9/10.
People thumbing it down for performance issues--yeah man, name a game in 2022 that didn't have any. Disable the 2k launcher and lower the settings, the game is good. If you're the target market and enjoy card-based, turn-based ala slay the spire, fights in tight spaces, you'll find something to love here. My only complaint is there should be a fast fwd button for enemy turns, watching 14 hydra agents run around the map applying status effects before I get to play is redundant. Characters are done well, each have a unique feel and are true to comic. The versatile difficulty is expertly done, and never feels like a chore... final battle took me 2 hrs on Ult 3 because it stuck me with a bum team, but I never felt hopeless.
Worst case you try it for 2 hrs and refund it.

Disappointing. This game had the potential to be something actually worth $50. Combat is stale, boring, stiff.. much unlike the game it's based off of. Did they even play DNF PvP? MP shouldve been replaced with cooldowns to allow for more creativity instead of spamming the same move over and over in the same combo. "Story mode" could've been an homage to the 2D beat-em-up style DNF was built off of, we could've had some type of MK11 tower-esque co-op boss battles. Nope. They took the lazy route and just made a re-skinned Guilty Gear Strive with much less. No jukebox mode with some of the older tracks, no avatar-style cosmetics, no 6-player Team Elimination, just an uninspired drag and drop of previous Arcsys titles on a franchise that has tons to grab from.

I just wanted to start off and say I really enjoyed this game in the beginning. It's a shame most tumors are liked by most until they grow on you.... yeah top notch analogy, thank you.
Formalities aside, let's get the the fun part: Picking apart would could have been a great game!

Pros:
-Art direction was on point.
-Sweet flashy moves pulled straight out of the hentai book.
-Create your own idiot, but pick only the OP moves.
-Immersive storyline that takes you through all the guys Goku + Friends already beat up.

Cons:
-Silent Protag, glad we're back in '98.
-Their idea of making fights hard is putting 2 horny boss characters with 2 lifebars against you and a braindead computer. They also don't flinch and every time you attack them they push you away, FUN!
-If I wanted to grind this much I would have put Tony Hawks Ride back in my dreamcast.
-One word. Servers.
-Combat is more stale than Aunt Jemima's waffle cones. Mash and hope the saints came marching home, because you're probably going to lose.

So there you have it, If you are a huge dragon ball fanboy then you probably already have this and my review will have no effect whatsoever. But if you're unlike me and didn't impulse buy this then perhaps you should wait until this game is sitting in the bargain bin at your local home depot.

A unique take on racing in which the goal is to force your opponents outside the screen by out-running or just plain screwing them over with various items. Extremely fun with friends or random joes alike. In it's current state it is definitely worth the buy, as there is much more to come.

If you can keep pressing 1 and killing everything as the gunshoot guy then you know this game means business. Don't forget the story that keeps you coming back for more. 10 shillings out of 10!

The constant feeling of being hunted by a supernatural force has not only made me come back for more, but has had me change my underoos several times.
