This was one of the most fun reads I've had in a while. I used to think you need all these branching paths and complicated things to make a VN good but no - turns out fun writing and understanding your genre can carry so much weight.

As others have said, yeah it's over in like 3 hours but that was the best 5 bucks I spent lately. No regrets.

Final tidbits - I'm a Crow and Weissrose kinda guy. Those two were my favorite.

At face value it's going to look like a metroidvania but it's more like Tales of - except you never leave combat. Best way I can describe it is a side scrolling A-JRPG. You start by finding a cat and slay the gods' god. There's a lot of neat systems in place but when you're actually fighting it can feel like RANDOM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GO!

It's got the length of a JRPG at about 50 hours for full completion. It's a very good deal and I recommend it.

I usually dodge visual novels like the plague because I feel like I am reading a court proceedings but I am very aware once every five years or so a series or franchise comes along and you have to read it. Sometimes it's Fate/Stay, sometimes it's Doki Doki Literature but this time it's this one and probably all the other Sad Panda VNs. I love how all the characters are written (and how much I hated Cass at first but ended up liking the hell out of her by the end. Not my fave but hard not to like). The dialogue will hurt your soul in the cringey way but it's also very, very fun. There's a little bit of something for anyone willing to pick this up and just read it.

I especially love the voice acting. I hope the actors had fun - they had to say some stuff that people don't really say in real life but still made it come off as believable- and boy it sold on me.

If you aren't crying on the last week of the month you are either too young and inexperienced or you are a complete monster and need help.

Side note, what the hell is with Cassie's accent? Is it a jersey thing that I just can't understand? It's wonky and awkward - hell I swear I even heard it before but not enough to tell you what it was.

Oh and there's light lewds in there and I thought I came for that content but after the first in game week I was like :O I MUST READ YOU and I ended up just making a save for the scene and got to the actual story. I am astonished I was like "Yeah yeah tiddies but WHAT ABOUT OUR SUGAR DADDY ELI!?" - I'm not even gay, what the hell.

This tool is phenomenal. Somehow no matter what you throw together it works - it all JUST works and it's really helpful for generating music ideas. I sank two hours just seeing what it's going to throw at me and I really only intended to check it for like a couple dozen minutes. I think it performs best when you're trying to make a million layer Tohou midi monstrosity but when you're not doing that it is still like THE best music prompt tool I've ever seen. It covers your major measures like 4/4, 3/4 etc

Just press like 5 buttons and see what comes out, it's absolutely nuts fantastic

My life is better for playing this game.

I don't play this game religiously but everytime they push an update I have the absolute best time. There is an absolute glut of survivors games out there, however somehow with how this one is built it always seems to differentiate itself. I never feel like I am put into absolutely unwinnable or broken situations and every character is a blast to play.

I kinda wanna gift this game to some of my friends. It's THAT good.

The game controls well and there's a little bit of something for everyone here unless you're deathly allergic to metroidvanias. There are going to be moments that scream indie game but nothing detracts from the experience. I think the thing I like most is that they have all these layers of systems that help distract you from just shutting your brain off, holding right and mashing a button for 30 hours straight. Really helps set this game apart from others.

Will definitely make my way through this game and I don't think my opinion is going to change much. Recommend.

Although the caveat is once you fall out of the rhythm of playing the game religiously, it's almost impossible to come back.

Warframe is for sure its own game but I only had the time for it when I didn't have a job that demanded the majority of my waking hours. You will be going from run to run killing hordes of freaky ♥♥♥♥ with your own freak of choice using a stick and a couple of things that go pew. There's a frame for every fetish and enough weapons that you'll find SOMETHING you're gonna love in every category - it's just a bit painful how many hours of your life this game demands to get the most out of it.

I can always come back and do some dungeon running on Trove - no matter what time of the year it is.

It has a very solid gameplay loop where you just hoard loot, tweak your load out, go kill things and there's a class for everybody. You also get to build your own little tower (or in my case a bunker) home that can be ported into worlds to rest and get yourself sorted out. It's so good, it's my go to answer when I am in doubt about what I want to play (which is rare but those times do happen)

My life is better after playing this game (specifically with friends, however)

It's a bit like a WWII Team Fortress 2. Every character (especially dinosaurs) have their own schtick and at no time did I feel like any of the design choices were bizzare or unfair. (Except maybe the tiny flying turkeysaurs. I swear to god something is absolutely ♥♥♥♥ about their hit boxes or something)

In the words of my clan, it is a game you inflict on your friends.

Something does't feel quite right at every corner of this game.

I came from playing the 2nd and 3rd game straight into this and it has a lot of design choices that just don't have a good feel to them. I liked any time you had to play at the apartment but any time I was out on the Mountain I kept getting distracted at just how wrong the game feels without a Wii U controller and just how uninterested I was in what was going. on. This game is neither scary nor engaging - I am not sure what hole it was trying to fill.

It is however a very good wet shirt simulator, at least it does that.
