Ok let me start off by saying that this game is yet young and still needs time to develop. if that was not the case then i would most likely have not recommended it. that being noted lets get on with it.

cons:
1)price: nuff said

2)the TWWH DLC/content wall: so let me explain this. due to the fact that this game's predecessors had such a vast wealth of armies, factions and content. it does feel like this game was scrambling to find stuff to justify the price a bit. and while this may be some what negated in the future. i dont really see how that can be possible as all the former games covered the main factions and also because of the next (personal) con.

3)DOW 3 syndrome(cartoonish): the main thing that sets Warhammer apart in both (i will not recognise age of sigmar) fantasy and 40k worlds. is the grim darkness of the universe. that is where both the cool factor and the comedy of these universes come from. its the simple juxtaposition of a deadly serious universe of death, pain, extra chad muscle boys and soul hungry deities. hitting things like the sisters of battle (sexy armoured nuns with giant ti-) and the gonobblars for example. and its simply not possible to over estimate how this positively effects these universes(or universe if you like that interpretation) not to mention the fact that schadenfreude plays a big part in all this.
anyway much like the dreaded dawn of war failure. this game has tried to push that whole cartoonish aesthetic and while i cant deny that it sorta works in some instances(nurglings) it kinda kills the whole joke and waters down the whole experience to some extent.
this also kinda clashes heavily with its predecessors creating this kind of rift. and while the creators where clearly aware of this and tried to make everything fit. it just feels odd. a bit like oil meeting water.

4 ish) the dreaded bug boys: the game does have a few balancing issues and bugs n such but that's something which will be smoothed out in time hence the ish.

5) personal gripe: PLEASE MAKE THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WALLS STRONGER.

pros) wow if your still with me than you are a giga nerd huh :P its cool no one bought this game to get laid so lets go on then :P

1) innovation: while the game may lack in playable factions and looks like the sort of thing walt Disney would cream over. it sure did give me a few head turning moments. i wont spoil it but i really liked what they did with minor settlements and the new game modes. it just stretches out the experience a bit and goes a short way to justifying the price tag a touch.

2) introducing daemons and the dark 4!: i'm a massive fan of the mighty cornflake god and his stinky brother and i am really glad they finally get some love in fantasy. and for the most part i'm pretty happy with how they have done daemons in general and i nearly lost the plot when i got to play with ma lil nurglings XD.

3) just the ogre kingdoms in general: I LOV MEH MAAW, I LOV MEH MEET, I LOV MEH GNOBLA. HATE HUNGER, HATE LITTLENS POKIN MEH BELLY. LEDBELCHERS IS BASED.

4) and finally i suppose it should be noted that while it doesn't always land the developers definitely put quite a lot of effort and love into all of this. from the top job with the little unit voice-overs and the attention to the fluff. to the new mechanics and little innovations which certainly create a unique game to its older brothers. and with the modern entertainment market being what it is. tying something a lil different is always a win. even if it still needs to be properly optimised to work :).

look, as a 40k fan this really scratched an itch for a fps shooter in a grim dark setting. and while you can tell its age in a weird way it perfectly adds to the game. now the only sorta gripe i have is with the AI and with the way that objectives arent as clear as i may have wanted them to be, but that can be put down to age and personal preference respectively, so over all id give it a solid 8/10 would deffinetly have bought for £1 again :)

hay guys, i originally bought your game in the pre beta pre order and i wanted to try and play it again and a love the fact that you finally added a single player mode but im having trouble getting it too work. can you help me?

for 2 pounds its not bad, all and all would i keep playing it? probably not. but that's more down to the lack of player base rather than any fault on behalf of the design. so i tell you what devs, play the game with me so i can give it a good shake, and if i find that its a nice experiance when played properly, i might get it for a few friends and see what they think. what do you say?

this game has been with me for years. it is perhaps one of the greatest cornerstones within the 40k gaming community for its interesting and new look at the dawn of war series as a hole.

so for those reasons and my own prolonged entertainment i would like to say. THANK YOU :D to all of the people who were in charge of creating this masterpiece.
