I believe I already added you as a friend. Good to see some old MPSE players in here. ;)

A few days ago, I had to try to contact the tactical FPS players that I may know, and I remembered of my days in AA2 and MPSE. As I recalled AA3 used Steam, I thought maybe some of the old players I played with were on Steam, and found you. As some of the AA2 players were Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear, Raven Shield or Ghost Recon veterans, I thought it might interest them to know there's a Kickstarter project named Ground Branch, as that may be THE game putting as much realism as possible, more than the early versions of America's Army (2.0 to 2.3 I'd say) tried to do : http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/670743543/ground-branch

See you

When AA3 was launched, I tried playing it, but the initial amount of bugs, and the fact (based on the different hit percentages in my profile) that it took on average 10 hits per kill (or make it a game based on headshots only...) because of the stupid "heal" system progressively made me stop playing at AA3. I tried last year to see if there were some AA2 players, but most of them transitionned to AA3, and the MPSE servers are now empty ; AA2 servers are nearly empty too.

My account reached the level 72-75ish, and my prefered roles were Automatic Rifleman and Grenadier. I even modified the commo bindings to automatically team say "Going to SAW the OPFOR !" and something like "Going to blast the OPFOR with my M203 !" at the start of the round. If you remember correctly, I even typed the number of the enemy M203 rounds that were used, as it was pretty easy to know there were 14 grenade rounds at most at the start of the round.

As MPSE was a huge map and we played 10 minutes rounds, I sometimes attacked SE hill, then fell back to ambush unwary Defense players coming from scp or road, and then complete my flanking by going all the way on upper ledge till objective A ; same kind of crazy things based on patience and difference possible roads to get to A or B, or even take out the whole Defense one by one.

I don't remember all the n00b players, but I recall playing with you, Dingo and Sandman. Another non-n00b player I often played with was SnakeEyes, whose M24 accuracy was extremely high, maybe even dubious. There was also another player, Geriatric (not sure if he was a n00b), about whom we joked that he was geriatric ; IIRC, he said he served in the Army a long time ago. I also spent a few Christmases and New Years playing AA in the following years, wishing "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" at the corresponding midnights, based on the CET that is my time zone ; maybe I said a few times I lived in Switzerland, but I'm not sure I spoke a lot about that. Note that I generally played at afternoon-evening hours for people on the East coast.
