At the time i write this the recent reviews are mostly negative (34%). The game doesnt deserve that. I finished the campaign in all borderland games as a soloplayer. I liked the gameplay loop and gunplay the most in this title. Dont let yourself be discouraged by the Negative reviews.

The best immersive sim since System shock 2

The world-building is top-notch. Thank you obsidian for creating this detail-rich universe with its immersive story, well-written dialog and interesting companions. Absolutly recommended. I will gladly buy the Outer Worlds 2.
That being said, balanacing is the main issue. The game is too easy even on hard difficulty. There is an over abundance of all ressources (f.e. ammunition, lockpicks), up to the point where I didnt even bother to loot anymore. Weapon and monster variety could also be higher.
And please remove the perma-death feature for companions on the supernova difficulty level. Or let us turn it on/off in the Outer Worlds 2.
Nevertheless i loved the game from the beginning to the end.

If you are looking for a modern cRPG this is what you should play first.
The grandscale, divine storytelling can be confusing at times. Nevertheless ... one of the best RPGs of all times.

Much better than expected! Meaningful dialogues. Mystery atmosphere. Especially good for anyone who doesnt have a lot of time.
Your english should be good because of the dialogue system.

Great immersive storytelling in a dark sci-fi scenario. In oder to have fun with the game you need to forgive the balancing problems (too easy) and the lack of complexity of the combat system.
I played the game like an interactive novel with RPG elements and had a lot of fun with it.
The game unfolds in a linear way and tells you all the time exactly what to do next. But this does have its advantages: There is almost no downtime between quests (f.e. no travelling time) and its easy to follow the story even as a casual player who can only spare a small amount of time for playing video games.

Basically the best game I ever played.
If you dont care for outdated graphics you get intense survival horror with a great story and strong RPG elements. Finished the game when I was 14 years old and loved it. Did it again when i was 31 and still loving it.
