It's just not a finished game. Everything you come to expect from games these days are just not there, The menus are cumbersome, the combat is sluggish and the hit boxes are off. Things fall through the floor all the time. Save your money.

Then Crusader Kings II is your next logical step. Arrange marriages, manage vassals, change laws, and do everything you can to scrape and claw to the next level of power. You can start as a lowly one province count or an emerging european super power trying to consilidate their power base. WIth the added dlc's you can even play as Muslims, Merchant Republics or... VIKINGS (and other less awesome pagans).
