I didn't dislike it, but in its current state it feels incomplete. Once you get passed your first week, the game gets very grindy with very little substance. You don't even have to put items on the tables because customers will come up to you and ask if you have an item in stock which you can immediately sell to them. There is no bartering and as far as I can tell, you can pretty much just place all wares at maximum sell price and most customers will still buy them. Lastly, pricing certain items Extremely high and others extremely low does very little to increasing sales for overstocked cheap items.... In short the game got very boring, very quickly with no challenge whatsoever with the only other gameplay being decorating your shop which even then seems mundane at best

Civilization without anything that makes Civilization good. No Diplomacy, No variety of Unique Resources, Research is straightforward and lazy, Expansion of territory is unnecessarily inefficient where you must spend a turn(s) to expand to a tile next to base, spend turn(s) to build buildings, and have population to attain resources from that plot; but if you don't have population you spend more turns building a structure to increase population limit to inhabit resource building...... it's just a whole lot of inefficient nonsense that feels like they're trying to stretch content. I wouldn't be disappointed if they just tried "Reinventing" the Civilization Game Experience, but it feels more like they took the concept of a Wheel (Civilization Games) and turned it into a Square Peg

The Game itself is really decent. Starting out it is very intriguing with all the things you can do with your Kingdom, preparing your heir, foreign affairs and politics; but then your King dies, and you do it all again from scratch. Still exciting, you do it again and then your King dies... and you start over again, little less excited this time. And you create a character you really like, quell some rebellions, expand your territory.... then your King dies..... long story short it becomes really repetitive, really quickly and on top of that, Paradox is extremely GREEDY, with their DLCs that add very little feature wise to the game so for me having not bought any of them, feels like the game is stagnant, just the same ole rinse and repeat...

For those that don't know, this game and Warhammer 1 are connected and half the game can't be played without Warhammer 1 which is still $60 and CA knows it because it's STILL $60. Between all the DLCs and purchasing both games, to actually experience the whole game and the races involved therein, you could be looking around $250 for the full game... that's insane, almost extortion. Paying $60 for an incomplete game is ridiculous

Looks fun until you realize there is hundreds of things to do without any intuitive tutorial to guide you in learning the game's mechanics. You get a window that has the barest of information on what the other window is about and then a link to a wiki if you wish to spend a day studying the encyclopedia which is the game. That has always been an issue with Paradox games, they never make their games intuitive or walk you through the game mechanics in a fun or interesting way. Even their tutorial mode is click around figure it out which is fine unless your rummaging around a UI equivalent to an 8 yr old child's room with toys scattered everywhere and uncertain where anything goes, what anything does, or in what order you should prioritize what you're viewing... I wish Total War does a WWII game because I'd jump on that in two seconds.

Unnecessarily complicated and convoluted UI. Windows literally spawning in the middle of your screen blocking your ability to monitor events occuring on the map underneath. Frustrating, non-intuitive gameplay mechanics. Laughable tutorial that doesn't teach the flow or controls of the game. Sample Medieval Total War to enjoy the same sort of without all the frustration. Also play Nobunaga's Ambition to enjoy real time strategy with the ame sort of Empire and Diplomacy controls.

I coaxed the Native American army twice my size to charge my center, chasing my general. My General squeezed through the line infantry and as they begun firing on the enemy as my flanks turned and boxed them in what could lightly be considered a killing field. The strategy and maneuvers you can perform in this game, during battles especially, could turn a virtually "NO WIN SCENARIO" into a Decisive Victory. I love this game.

Whether you're a fan of the Heroes of Might & Magic series or stradegy game fan in general, this game is a definite must have. Like it's predecessors you have a castle which you must build up by collecting resources and producers on the field. Create buildings and upgrade them to hire/recruit, fantastical creatures to your cause and crush your enemies. The story is decent, but the cg added into the series is well done and appropriate.
