might not have mechanical blocks, but at least it's got liquid water, planets that revolve around their star instead of an invisible sun rotating around the gameworld, decent performance, and an entire galaxy to explore

90% of the "endcontent" is lootbox gambling for OP ships and consoles, the remaining 10% of it is FashionTrek.

ask yourself the following: did you enjoy the first iteration of this?

if your answer is yes - you will enjoy this one just as much.

although in my case i wonder how the protagonist got here anyway, cause in the first one i finished the story, but i never left, and a certain installation [] has never been taken offline cause i wanted to watch my foster babies grow up in peace from the Alterra Corp.

absolutely brilliant little game.
if you loved Harvest Moon on the GameBoy, you'll love this.

4 years of development, still no female player model, still garbage multiplayer netcode, still absolute garbage performance. instead of fixing the game they now try to cashgrab by selling skins.

for once, early access done right.
the Devs actually talk - and, even more important - LISTEN to the community, and - unlike other developer teams -actually fix broken stuff before adding in more stuff that might break.

about the game itself:

it might not have uber-mental graphics, but it looks good, and the world just FEELS right. i have spent hours just walking around, admiring the landscape, interrupted by the occasional "oh darn" moment when encountering one of the more dangerous creatures that roam the isle (or the skies above it).
not like there are much creatures that are unable to kill you in seconds if you don't watch out.

the game is hard, pretty darn hard. like a survival game should be.

my first encounter with a boar turned out like it were the first two hours of Gothic 3 - read as: "oh crap, a boar - aaaand i'm dead."

what is also really cool is that it borrows some elements from RPG's, like special creatures to find and kill, and them dropping rare items or the components to craft even stronger items - with which you then can try to take on that pesky dragon that has been screwing you over repeatedly since the first time you were dumb and/or brave enough to set foot on his "front porch"

prepare to die. A LOT.

especially if you are mental enough to try and play it solo.
better bring a few friends (or people you don't like to feed to that cheeky, firebreathing, a-hole named Kur^^ )

you like fantasy?
you enjoyed skyrims landscape?

then you will love this game.

so, a few years ago Dean Hall made an awesome Mod for ARMA2 that got bohemia tons of money, so they hired him to make a "proper" game out of his mod.
the biggest mistake he made was agreeing to that deal, instead of taking his project to a REAL game developer intead of this horde of incompetent potatoes (which he propably knows himself, considering he bailed out after 1 year of Alpha, when the turds at bohemia started screwing up the game by adding unnecessary ♥♥♥♥ instead of fixing broken stuff)
1 more year of Alpha, and still all they do is add more unneccessary broken ♥♥♥♥ instead of fixing ♥♥♥♥ they broke 18 months ago.
they couldn't even bugfix their way out of a paper bag with a flamethrower.
they call that scopesway ♥♥♥♥ "realism"???? maybe if your character was Michael J. Fox.

-100/10 - i would rather throw money at the new project from the WarZ guys than ever again touch this PoS with a 30 ft pole held by someone else.
