I've spent more hours in this game than my account would suggest - I got it from retail first, then popped over to Steam for AP.

This game is a beautiful masterpiece and arguably the best single-player space sim out there right now (not going to get into ED or SC as competitors). The universe feels alive, and the number of choices you have is staggering. This game continues to be something I come back to, though at this point there are sometimes so many options that I don't know what I even want to get. Given its age, it's quite functional on my laptop, and it's a game I'm happy to travel with (yes, I do KB/mouse - it can be done, even if a full joystick might feel nicer). Would recommend for any space-sim fan.

One of the most classic base management games I've ever played, and tremendously catchy music to boot. One thing to note, though - it was never built for multiple monitors, so if it crashes when you launch it, set your display to only use one. (And yes, I mostly played it before it arrived on Steam.)
