First off I'd like to state I've always tried to give games a fair chance given it's the people who make them and not the games fault like a child who never asked to be born. Veilguard is a sad story of something that could be wonderful and beautiful but turned into utter tragedy by people who didn't let the story grow as it should have and instead pushed their own beliefs down peoples throats like a date rape drug. Now I don't say this to just whine and complain without reason because i have some good points (at least i like to think i do lol).
1. Taash the non-binary character. Personally i could care less what their labeled gender wise I honestly want to know more about their experiences as an individual who is of the Qunari faith and Rivaini culture. That to me is more interesting than their gender identity cause when you don't know your culture and beliefs can you really know your gender?
2. Love the game play i find it fun actiony and just eye pleasing when it comes to combat. But when you have an older computer and then your saves want to crap themselves and can only go back to a save at your ingame HQ really makes it hard to want to do all your efforts all over again cause then you're like whats the point. Yes easy fix is to upgrade but if one can't then it really doesn't make sense to play this game at all.
3. Character rp attachment and general rp narrative. The game isn't alive with the story it feels like a slightly darker version of My Little Pony than Dragon age. I like the characters don't get me wrong their fun but there should have been more to them more heart soul struggle otherwise it's like having a normal boring life and in this setting it shouldn't feel that way when you have two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GODS coming back to take over the lands. Also there weren't enough darker parts in this game not saying it should have had as much as Origins but come on Devs if you're gonna use the Blight has one of the main resources of the Villans don't pull punches life isn't fair and all sunshine and rainbows neither is the Blight or the two Gods.
These are my main points about Veilguard a tragedy of a game that will never reach it's full potential all because instead of telling a story it was rubbing your face in someone else's crappy ideals
