Been playing MH since the PSP era. This game is not for everyone. It's not your typical hack n slash. Instead it requires precise timed attacks while observing/learning the attack patterns of each monster. Tons of armor and weapon choices. Armor pieces can be mixed/match to create certain buffs that are effective against the weakness of each specific monster. Those who are into hack n slash; I do not recommend. Game requires a certain level of patience and forethought.

Early Access Review
I cannot recommend this game to anyone at its current state. Granted it is in Early Access.

What makes this game different from your traditional Turn-Base Strategy game is how you move your mech across the board. Instead of utilizing the typical square panel movement you'd find in other Turn-Base Strategy games; mech movement is done by use of the WASD keys. Which does not really make any sense to me in what is essentially a turn-base game.

The graphics and the design/art of the mechs are awesome. Very familiar to Front Mission. If Front Mission Evolved had kept its turn-based gameplay, but slapped on Dual Gear's motif; it would've been a hit with fans of that genre.

So big kudos to the developers of Dual Gear for creating a game similar to the Front Mission series, but with their own spin on it.

If you are a fan of the Front Mission games or just love the mech designs of Front Mission (as do myself), then sure, buy into it and support the development. That's part of the reason I backed this game.

I purchased this game yesterday. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I found myself playing it a lot longer than I was anticipating. It's a mix between Assassins Creed, and maybe the latest Tomb Raider. The dialogues are great and so far the story is pretty good. Normally with Assassins Creed, I get bored pretty quick because it becomes so repetitve and easy to kill mobs while being unscathed. But Shadow of Mordor has mastered it. You can be attacked by the whole army and eventually, you will die -if you don't run away and regroup, or re-think your plan of attack. The Runes that are collected in the game, replace the game mechanics of grinding for loot (weapons and armor). These runes give you the attributes the same way you collect weapons and armor in other rpg games. Other than that, the game is awesome. I enjoy it! I'm actually fighting the temptation to play it today, because I know I'll be on it all day and night if I do.
