This won't take up to much of your time, it's free, and it sets a benchmark for the rest of the series to improve upon.

This is a short experience depending on how you handle events, so I recommend just going in with knowing as little as possible and just feeling it out yourself. And, hey, if you already know what happens, you can use that to earn some achievements for your troubles.

All in all, this is a great start to the series, and I recommend trying this one out.

This is a really cool, free character that fits well opposed to some other factions. He also provides a great opportunity to unshackle yourself from the side of the map most dark elf factions start from, giving you ability to essentially roam and wander the map as much as you like.

It's a pretty Suite Life when you get free legendary lords like this...

Poor Tretch...Everybody forgets about Tretch. It's not his fault that there are a bunch of other, more interesting campaigns available for his faction. Well, if there's one thing Tretch Craventail can brag about it is that his DLC comes to us for free!

It's a bunch of free maps that look nice and play alright. What's not to like?

With some excellent voice acting and a campaign all about finding the biggest, baddest beasts around the known world, this free legendary lord makes for a great addition to the dark elf roster.

This is probably one of those free legendary lords that a lot of folks forget about. This is not because the character is bad or anything like that. He just came out among more interesting or eye-catching stuff, and has since been left a bit behind as WH3 took over.

With all this in mind, I would not overlook this faction. It adds a whole new faction into the base game as you get to take control of a dwarven faction on the vortex campaign, not that he seems to care much about that swirling lightshow. He has a whole other objective to any event that sees you engaging in a faction unique mechanic involving a collection and crafting minigame.

All in all, he's a fine addition and, most importantly, he's free!

This is really the definitive way to play these game, in my opinion. The Vortex campaign is fine and all, but this has and always will be my default campaign mode.
