premise looks good, but sadly, if you don't have a machine of the approximate age of this game, you likely won't be able to play it. and due to the developer having gone bankrupt and dissolved, this game will likely never be updated for modern machines. this review might change, however, if it does get an update. until then, though, i cannot in any sort of way recommend this game. it is sad to see such a good promise go unfulfilled.... but in this case, it must be so. .5/10, and the half-point is for premise and appearances of the game itself.

Very well-planned game. Sure, you might have about 4 hotfixes right after a major update, but they don't stop updating and fixing. They actually listen too! The story drives you to complete it, and the gameplay is smoothly delivered. From dropping into a defense as a frost to starting a solo spy run and clearing every vault without alarms, you'll love demolishing the grineer and derezzing the corpus, all while you slice the infested to bits and pieces.

Graphics and Sound: 8/10
The only reason I took 2 points off is because they seem to cater more towards the desktop than laptop, but it still runs perfectly fine on a laptop. There's no shortage of immersion, too.

Gameplay: 9/10
The one point off is because they still have a few glitches now and again that sometimes pop up and aren't resolved until a long time later, or maybe forget to balance a frame properly.

Multiplayability: "Can this go higher than 10?"/10
You'll loooove finding others to play with. This game may have a solo play mode, but half the fun is in the dysfuncional teamwork that gets born through adapting to everyone's playstyle!

Memorability: See Multiplayability.
If you think this game isn't memorable, think again. I've even had a DREAM about the game, it's so memorable!

Final remarks:
If you haven't tried Warframe, at least go through the first quest or two before saying you don't like it. I wasn't expecting to like it so much, but I do.

although it uses the HL1 game for the base systems, the co-op gameplay makes for a much better game. tired of never having enough hp immediately available? have someone heal you with a medkit! always dying at the key fight scene? medkits can revive you on the spot with half hp and then heal you the rest of the way! and did i mention that this is basically HL1 for free, just make a private server to play on? this DEFINITELY gets a "gr8, m8, i r8 8/8!"

tl:dr HL1 for free, teamwork included on public servers.

Well redesigned, the freedom of movement is fun because of all the faster paths you can take, and the secrets are very neat. Spoiler alert: The mythbusters reference is XD level of funny!

First, I suggest you BUY the full game if possible. It has many gamemodes that have so much variety, and once you factor in the helpful "how to" servers for the difficult things like rocket/stickybomb/sentry jumping, becomes far more entertaining than first appears. The drop system leaves entertainment in seeing what you might get from the system, and trading gives chances to get something from others as well.
Second, I advise any who decide to play on servers to try many different types of servers. Achievement servers are useful for getting that one last achievement to milestone, and the "uber upgrade" and MvM 10-player servers give even more variety than you might expect to those who would rather not spend extra money on the game if they choose to.
Third, if you decide to join the Team Fortress 2 gamers, I advise you to not worry about being called a newb. There are friendly players out there that don't mind showing you how to do things better, and those who decide to be mean also teach in their own way how to play by showing how they play it.

In summary, I wholly recommend this game and add that it is more fun than appears.... or at least, that's how it would go, if they have a modicum of sense and find a way to stop the bots. It feels more like they have servers full of bots than servers with actual people, the only places safe from the bots are the maintained unofficial servers or unofficial game modes. Can i get a #fixTF2 in the reviews?
