It's pretty darn fun but I inadvertently discovered how to duplicate logs and it essentially ruins a lot of the game because it's become too easy and I don't have the self control to not do it and instead spend hours chopping trees. Please patch it so I can be a law-abiding gamer once again.

Edit: They patched my duping method so that's pretty sick and I'm all for them rolling out decent updates so soon after (early-access) launch. Game rules still all these hours later.

Combat and art direction make this recommendable. However, 12700KF 3070 16GB RAM pulling 45-60 fps at 1440p with lowest settings, no RT, no shadows, no ambient occlusion. RAM is at proper speed, drivers updated and everything. I have to use DLSS balanced to consistently get above 60 fps, but that's essentially an ~800p internal resolution on what I thought was a pretty decent modern GPU. I'm hoping some optimization can be accomplished over time but I'm skeptical.

I'll recommend it for the satisfying gameplay, but a 12700KF 3070 combo at medium settings and no ray-tracing shouldn't be going below 60 fps at 1440p. It just kinda chugs sometimes and breaks immersion and gives me existential dread as to why I can't be spoderman at high frame rates.

The "combat puzzle" direction taken by the developers made sure that this game was something new and not just a map extension of DOOM 2016. The campaign was engaging throughout its duration, which I was able to complete in 11 hours. Kind of bummed on its length, but it'd rather have 11 hours of good gameplay than 30-40 hours of tedium. Looking forward to completing the game on the higher difficulties at the time of this review. The fact I got this game for 20 bucks the same year it was released is amazing and I'd highly recommend on sale, but even 60 is a fair price for the amount of fun to be had here. Just get this ♥♥♥♥ bro it's tight.

Fall Guys? More like "Winter Guys." Am I right?

I loved Saints Row 3, but this game is a blatant reskin of the previous game with little to no meaningful story or gameplay to justify its existence. Having superpowers is fun in a way that if you were using cheats in Grand Theft Auto, something I had already gleaned all enjoyment from years ago. Got it for super cheap but knowing this sold as a full retail game: that should be criminal. Also on top of that the game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on an i7 7700 and 2060 super.

Excellent FPS with a good amount of old-school sensibility. Also, why is no one talking about how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sexy the Summoner is? I lose every time I'm outside the argent energy tower, because my tower is brimming with argent energy. That dude is top-shelf meat, I'm surprised you don't get to platform across that thigh gap in Doom Eternal.

I really felt like I was bald through the entire duration of this game.
