Been playing this civ4bts mod for awhile now its so good..
Kind like revolutions mod we used to play but way better. You know rise of mankind the mod? Anyway its a mod mod of that, - Rise of mankind - A new dawn.
It had some problems tho, particularly with maintanance costs and stuff, and some small balancing issues.

Now this programmer has made a mod mod mod :) Here is the link.

some dude patched smac AI - allowing them to use stockpile energy bug, use crawlers, more emphasis on terraforming etc & its includes unofficial patch by scient, its like addon to that or w/e. http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=56203
