This game is chunky and fun. I like how you can find gear as you play via battles and the shop, and that all glads can equip gear but its not tedious. Just pop the gear on and off as you like. Sell what gets old. Its fairly fast pace, easyish yet complex. I love the main menu screen music! The factions is a really nice bonus, most of the interaction with factions is voice acted which is awesome. The voice acting is good. Its the type of game where you just want to play one more turn before bed but play a few more lol.

I must like this game because I keep loading it up and progressing through the content.
-not overly complex but plenty to learn and experiment with
-gritty dark theme
-cool card/tactic/minion+hero/pause auto-battle system
-no text walls but the flavor text is interesting
-developers active in discord
-kinda slow development but small team still moves forward

Its a relaxing game. It is an extreme grind but alot of games are. Some highlights in my mind.
- good old solid western eu art style/genre
- helpful in game chat with other players
- ability to easily group with others for bosses and so far people have been helpful if you ask in chat (which is awesome)
- turn based combat that is challenging and makes you want to grind more mats to craft better stuff to kill more stuff
- a home base, kind of like housing but more for the system of a base to craft and house your followers rather than a house to decorate which is fine with me
- 1 character to build
- paperdoll (char looks) change with eguiped gear
- it has an auction house (gotta pay 5$ to use it though) but still, extremely cool feature
I will admit i needed a game that isnt a click fest due to some wrist issues so this works out ok. You still click but its not a ton like some games.

No game is really free because time is not free, so, is it worth trying for an hour or 2 to see if you like it? yes

In game achievements are not transferring to steam, its a known issue currently. UPDATE: this has been fixed.

Best cRPG since Dragon Age 1 imo. I don't finish many cRPG(I did finish BG1, BG2, IWD1, IWD2, DA1, DA2, Sword Coast Legends(which i loved and everyone else hates :() and a few others), they end up bogging down because things get to complicated or story gets to long to read a book in a game. I got close on pillars 1 but the fan text was to much before i realized it was random fan text. I will be surprised if i don't finish this and play some player made modules. I am excited for a small team that makes better games than AAA. Money doesn't buy everything in the game world. Note: i am playing on the recommended difficulty (middle).

Pros:
It feels like they made a game that we want
The whole encounter experience is very well implemented
No text walls (but i am interested enough to read/listen to whats there)
Realistic graphics (not cartoon)
Good enough story
The trinity of tank, heals, dps, is there if you choose to play that way
Relax without any timers
Player made modules seem to be getting decent appreciation and review which is very encouraging and cheap entertainment if thats your meter
A popular well received game so they will probably have expansions or whatever to flesh out the world and adventure
Quickly move around the areas and world map by clicking locations (saves alot of time, so good)
Friendly discord community
I guess if you have a super old pc u can set the graphics really low and probably play this on some old tech...
No super confusing char stats like pillars
There is encumbrance but its not a big deal because there is a faction that works with you that collects anything you leave on the ground. They show it to you later in town, you can keep it or sell it from there.

Cons:
Kinda slow load times on HDD, got better when i moved it to SSD.
Slightly confusing reputation system but nothing you cant figure out with some google/disco searches or just take time to look at the vendors
So far, feels fairly strait forward campaign but there are side quests, this may be a pro to some (I just mean there isn't really free World exploration so far but thats not what the game is trying to build)

One of the better indie games. The more i play it the more i like it.

Highlights so far:
- its like turn based D2 indie game. That seems the best way to describe it.
- Great inventory management with autosort, autosell, automove buttons. Kinda like grim dawns inventory but a little simpler and easier.
- lots of loot and crafting mats on each run
- crafting, salvaging, gem slotting, gems, gem removal, gem combining (like D3)
- intuitive, not over complex, don't need a tutorial and there is no tutorial
- all skills can be learned by 1 char, i guess this might be good or bad to you, seems ok, it does start costing more and more to buy skills so you do have to make an effort to get them all if you want them all, and need to think about which ones to take as you progress.
- skills seem to flow and interact with each other well across different skill lines
- dark setting and story
- decent skill affects for a 1 man development team ;)
- developer is active with a passion for the game
- a good alternative to extreme clicking games if you have any wrist/hand issues

cons
-can't rebind keyboard keys

You know how you buy a game, and almost assume your gonna return it even after watching lets play vids, try it, you return it, yawn, and life goes on. Well, I won't be returning this game. This game is really good so far. I don't want to comment to much since I just started but they deserve a good review from what I have seen so far. It looks like they took the best of many games and implemented it very well or better than the others.

Like most humans, I can't play this game 24 hours a day like a streamer.

Keeping that in mind this game is awesome! Yes it has issues, IF they are completely inept and never fix anything then that would suck. But they will, i'd be shocked of they don't, since they could make a LOT of money on this game if they just fix bugs and release some content over time.

NO CARTOON GRAPHICS
NOT A PHONE GAME
Awesome spell effects
Loot
Win

Do you remember when D2 came out. No one knew sh i t. You had to guess and hope for the best on skills. We got it easier now even if it is annoying that you have to pool knowledge for the best builds. But is that a bad thing? imo no

One of the best Indie games that I have played.

I like how there isnt alot of fluff, just good old face to face tactic battles.
If you use the keyboard and mouse together you can keep the pace going pretty well.
I normally don't care for pixel art much but the world is dark fantasy enough it actually decent.
Better controller support is coming soon according to devs which will be great.
They have some transmog in for holiday events which is awesome. Its one look for the whole character, not individual pieces but its cool.
You get the feeling they really tried to make every detail the best they could with what they have.
There isnt much out there for strat guides or even basic class info on the net but that actually sort of made it funner to just figure it out on my own.
Trying to figure out stats for classes, spells, and gear is a little clunky. Its all there but not really intuitive.
Its sort of obscure how you obtain some classes. Like you have to wipe 2x to get the thief.
Just watch some lets play vids, if it looks good there then its a must buy. Even if wait for sale get it on the wish list.

Playing through this again. Only played through once after original launch. Its still really really really good.

Kill vampiric wolf in dungeon, go get the treasure pile, whole party dies to fireball trap. Reload, detect traps this time :D

No issues at all with performance or bugs. Playing without any addons/mods.
