The latest big update has fixed a lot of the egregious crashing. There are still bugs, but in my opinion, they are a bethesda level of comedy that add to the experience. Of course, I'm not taking the game super seriously. It's a fun romp! The coop is incredibly stable, haven't had any issue regarding that side of things. There's plenty of issues that I'm sure other have pointed out, but at the end of the day I'm having a blast playing, and what else do I really want out of a video game?

Spooky. Controls are hard to get used to, even with several hours in the game, but immersive and enjoyable.

This game has a really really steep learning curve. If you're looking for a game you can dive into, and are interested in competing against real people, you'll have a ton of fun. That said, this game is hard to enjoy super casually. You'll have a head start if you are familiar with min-maxing, perk decks, or hide-and-seek style games.

EDIT:
I can no longer recommend this game. Other reviewers have spoken at length on the subjects, so I'll leave it at that.

This game is cute, definitely, but it feels like it lacks substance. The crafting feels more like a chore than an enjoyable aspect of the game, which isn't great since 90% of the game revolves around crafting. You can get through the core story pretty quick, (I'd guess about 1/2 of my play time was story focused) and it's....okay. It's pretty formulaic, and it's not really what this game wants you to be focused on. I think? It's hard to tell what part of the game to focus on, just because the sandbox-y elements clash pretty hard with the railroad story line.
Unfortunately it felt like the art direction was it's biggest draw, and the rest of the game was pretty un-engaging.

This is a solidly enjoyable game. It doesn't have a ton of replay value in my opinion, once you figure out a solid survival strategy it's hard to convince yourself not to use it for the sake of making the game interesting again. However, figuring out your survival strategy is a blast (if you find resource management a blast) and it's incredibly rewarding to see your forethought pay off in the form of survival and expansion. Would recommend, both to seasoned city-building veterans and to new-comers to the genre.
Not sure if it's worth the full price, but a very comfortable purchase on sale even by 3 or 4 dollars.

I really enjoy this type of game, and the first maybe hour of game play in this game. But the amount resources you need to advance are...theoretically unobtainable. I'd reallly enjoy this game if it was rebalanced, and if the last two categories of resources, medicine and weapons, at all built into themselves the way the others do. Love the colors and music and humor and all the aethetic choices, but...can't make any progress.
