I want to recommend this, really i do, but with the amount of hackers swarming casual mode, it really cant be played for very long before you decide to just give up and play something else.
I love playing this when i finish work because its something simple to play and doesn't need a lot of investment, but I've been finding too much lately that i'm getting more worked up then calmed down because of the hackers and cheaters that plague it, which is even worse in the evenings.
3/10 would be my score until the hacker issue gets sorted properly and not with half baked methods.

EDIT: Leaving what i wrote before to show changes, and i'll admit i didn't think i'd be revising this so soon but here we go. So the hacker numbers have dropped dramatically since i made my last comment, haven't seen one since actually, the only gripe now really being exploiters, but they don't seem to last too long in games and its much rarer to see them then it was to see hackers. I'd say my score is 7/10 now, not higher since exploit idiots are around, but i'd say its in a playable state for casual now, so I can recommend it now.

Early Access Review
Initially i really like the look of this game, and it played really well, but not even after about 4 hours have i noticed flaws. One being that to unlock anything in a decent enough quantity requires a lot of matches, which in turn leads to another problem i found. that being the "Tier" system they use. i've seen countless people with a railgun boat thing pretty much 1 shot people, at Tier 1 level.

What truly annoyed me enough to even write a review was this on the "Early Acess Game" bit: "The work Freejam is a combination of 'Free' and 'Jam' where 'Free' shows our dedication to keeping Robocraft always Free and 'Jam' stands for 'Jamming'." From what i've seen they really arent living up to their claim, as many items in game (at Tier 1) cost about 325 odd RP, which is earned through playing, but only costs 20 GC, which is bought with REAL money. For a group that emphazised keeping stuff free, it seems awfully like they want you to spend money at every turn, especially when you can only use T1 stars to buy T1 gear, and have to use GC to change them into Uber stars to be able to use them again.

Overall i feel this game, even in early access, has a lot going for it, but the way the Tier's weapons and currency system currently work really make it seem like they dont mean what they say, which instantly makes a game worse as idealogies are never kept in these situations.
