Transistor felt like less of a game and more of an experience, in the sense that my favorite memories from the game don't involve much actual gameplay. The art and cinematics are incredibly well done and have a style that I personally love. The gameplay certainly isn't the focal point, but is fresh and diverse enough to keep you interested, and while others may not be a fan of the some game mechanics, I thoroughly enjoyed them. The story is solid, and while it may not have the most depth, it certainly did its job of getting me to identify with the characters.

All said and done, that alone makes it a solid game. However the last part that really tips it over the edge to one of my favorites is the music. There really isn't much to say about the music except that it is extremely good on its own, but together with the game is just on another level. Even if you don't plan on playing this game, the music is certainly worth a listen.
