With the popularity of games like Escape From Tarkov, the world could probably use more games like this one.

Hot damn it's Halo man, and he's back.

It's as classic of a classic as there ever was.

Game takes deck builders and makes them actually fun. You can be competitive with very basic decks as long as your game play is up to snuff.

The art style works really well to evoke those surreal vibes.

This game is just plain good.

The story is immersive. The artwork is full of colour and contrast, beautiful and thematic, while still keeping gameplay elements clear. The gameplay loop is unique and stays fresh with a hundred different ways to approach each encounter.

And of course, the story and soundtrack keep you engaged throughout.

Pretty good. Pretty good.

This game is, in a word, joyful. It's cheap. It's simple. The achievements guide you to some of its nice secrets. It's a game you'll want to show your friends.

A journey through the ages of typography. Have you ever agonized over the perfect font for your school report? Have you ever gazed longingly at the theatrical poster for the 1927 film Metropolis, wondering why it looks so cool? Have you ever wondered why Firmin Didot was such a sex symbol of the 1700s? Don't worry, whether or not your answer is yes to any of these questions, you can be sure that this game is for you!

It's time to learn what makes a good serif!

You know what makes NPPD Rush great? It doesn't explain anything. What many will identify as negative aspects of the game, some will find to be perfect for the vibe the developers intended.

The game is confusing. The gameplay and core mechanics are not described, or taught to you through 'learning levels' like so many other titles. The teletype text and short 'scenes' don't give the player much more than nebulous hints, but encourage an imaginative player to read a great deal of the story between the lines. The crazy colour scheme, soundtrack and HUD make the game difficult to follow, and it will take you a number of playthroughs to figure out even the core mechanics.

The objectively great part of this game is the soundtrack. Fast paced, bumpin beats set the mood perfectly, and wouldn't be out of place at your next killer house party. Other than that, why was this game worthwhile to me? It's a game that you can learn on your own. It's a game you feel good about figuring out. It's a game you can beat.

Your friends might take a cursory glance and hate it. The negative reviews speak to that. Its a short game, and most won't think it worth the price. The complaints you might read in the review are not unfounded, but ask yourself: does this game deserve a place in my Steam library?

I say yes.
