The city dweller on tour is becoming familiar with the areas, their great expanses, their emptiness, their silence, and as he passes through villages which are little more than hamlets, or catches sight of a native tramping over the moorland, it is incedible to him that such emptiness should be the home of man, that its wildness should sustain a people.
