An absolutely brilliant fun little game with lots of charm, interesting gameplay and hours of content.

...Do not buy it.

In my 12 hours playing the game so far I have run into so many bugs and issues that it is clear to me this should've been an Early Access title.

Bugs range from minor graphical bugs, typos, spelling errors and repeated words/bad grammar in character dialogue to game breaking bugs such as the game locking if you're in a quest, your temple not letting enough people in and not allowing you to progress the main quests, the game locking if you do a ritual, followers refusing to do absolutely anything, followers dying despite no illness or other factors that could cause death and the list goes on and on - it seems every minute someone has discovered a new game breaking bug and posted about it on tech support forums or elsewhere. These are not rare bugs either, almost everyone who has played has run into a large number of these game breaking bugs and I am no exception. In my time playing I have been locked out of progression 6 times and as of writing this am currently stuck in a save with a follower dying immediately upon loading with absolutely no cause and attempting to do any ritual just completely stops the game and hangs there until I quit.

It is an absolute shame because the times when I have been able to play unhindered I've had an insane amount of fun but the constant stopping to wait for either a workaround from someone who had the same bug or a patch from the developers completely stops that fun dead in its tracks and makes you constantly safety-save just in case something is about to break and would ruin your save permanently.

It would be excusable if these bugs were fringe cases but since they are bugs that absolutely no one could miss if they simply played the game once, its clear that little to no QA and testing were done before release.

So, in its current state - I would not recommend buying this game. If it gets patched heavily in the coming weeks and months, then I would recommend it.

Very good - do not play it.

Bugs be damned, its an amazing game - but there are currently a LOT of bugs, so only play it right now if thats something you can put up with. Putting those aside though the characters, world and story are all incredible - definitely recommended.
