Love the game, do not love the developers abandoning it.

Open the steam workshop and let us fix the game if you don't care to.

I'd detail my issues but any light google of "Battle Brothers Unfair" will quickly show my concerns and then some.

Enemies OP, your people are UP, and every single moment of the game is a drain on your resources which you can only replenish via........... unfair combat.

I get you guys have a hard willy for difficulty but thats what ironman mode is for right?

Make your game playable please, right now it's a waste of art and creativity. 70 hours playtesting this garbage to develop an opinion

Fire. Really good stuff, looking forward to the full release and concepts in the road map.

Offensive stats are much easier to win with than defensive stats but I am only 32 hours & 4 runs into experimenting. Beat it on the 4th attempt using 1 crit hammer, 1 physical % sword, 2 magic % wands and 2 crit / ranged % archers.

There's a ton of builds to mess around with through the 80+ purple and 50+ yellows upgrades and 40+ perks on the hero's. Each purple upgrades adds a bunch of equipment or permanent stat upgrades to future recruits.

It will seem impossible at first. Realize that the game is meant to be played repeatedly and each run will be easier than the last due to a combination of permanent upgrades and your own experimenting with the many stats and equipment available.

"JuSt SpAm BiG mEkS aNd WiN GaMe! Inftry r useless" - every player who clearly never played online.

The game has a great campaign compared to the standard for a strategy game these days. The multiplayer is being actively developed and they have made major release with a weekly cadence so far. Two patches alone were dedicated to unit attack responsiveness and cover responsiveness. Each faction is close enough to each other to feel fair, but different enough to feel like distinct factions (Each faction has 1 infantry only they can produce, their basic infantry has different starting weapons, and their vehicles are 100% unique) The beauty of infantry in this game is that they can level up and then equip any looted equipment on the field to change class. For instance, a medic can convert itself to a retreat and repair point, but are difficult to level. Level up some riflemen on unexpecting enemies, then switch into an available medic kit on the floor and boom - instant veteran medics. The same tactics apply to all preferred equipment & heavy weapons lying around.

In the campaign it probably does make sense to lean on mechs, however the entire game is balanced differently for single player to enable the campaign to feel the way it should. Realize that campaign and multiplayer are different and the campaign is meant to be time consuming and challenging. I've replayed missions ive beaten for fun and some missions give you huge units caps, encouraging co-op with your friend.

To all the fools talking about mech spam wins the game. Play someone online and try to build a mech without making 5+ infantry army first. I dare you to tell me infantry isn't effective. Dawn of war had turrets in your bases, in this game there is nothing to prevent the enemy infantry and reserve 1 from pushing you into your base and destroying you.

If you're feeling like the game isn't balanced well or having trouble in MP, check out the online guides for this game. There is a lot of depth to the game that people just aren't exploring for whatever reason. For instance, people assume heavy mech for 700 beats two mechs for 350. If they stood and fought you are right. However this game isn't about direct stand-offs. A Gulyay-Gorod (final rusviet mech) will destroy a smialy (Polania scout mech), however 3 smialy's can run circles around gulyay and stop to shoot him for 10% minimum per volley. They reload in seconds, can run while reloading, and will pick that mega mech apart in 30-40 seconds. Those same smialy's will get evaporated by the newly buffed saxony artillery mech (Erlkonig) who has such range it can fire without being seen. Every faction has very interesting play & counter-play and there is actually A LOT to discover in that regard. A unit that isn't amazing on it's own operates well in packs, some operate well with a complimentary (Small hp, AP mech accompanying a hue HP, slow reload mech).

Give it shot and look for resources online if you feel stuck. The community is active on discord and there's a ton of guide material out there.
